Grimoire of Power Proposed Active

Eliminating the current effect of the active, there are proposed change:

  • Toggle on to grant the bearer of Grimoire of Power an active effect.
  • Grimoire of Power active deals 0.3x of bearer's primary attribute as magic damage to enemy units in 750 radius to bearer for every ability cast by the bearer.
  • Grimoire of Power active amplifies the duration of debuff and stun application from the bearer to enemy units by 20%.
  • The activation costs 75 mana per ability cast.

Thought Process:

  • Searing effect as negative status effect (debuff in short) requires non-DoT damage to have it applied on enemy unit.
  • The proposed active helps increasing searing effect duration as debuff. See thread here to know more about Stun & Debuff Duration Amplification: 
  • The proposed active also helps dealing non-DoT damage in area to capitalize searing effect on multiple units at once.
  • The proposed area damage is tied to ability cast so it has synergy with cooldown reduction on the item's passive.
  • The proposed area damage is based on primary attribute so it is worth picked to any heroes, though intelligence heroes get the benefit most.
