Klanx Lackey and Drones Proposed Rework

Besides Klanx current state, there are proposed changes:

  • Lackey:
    • Change from passive to orb-walking active, costs 20 mana and has 0 second cooldown.
    • Activate to throw a homing projectile at target to deal damage but it immediately ends its travel and deals damage to first contacted enemy & nearby enemies in 200 radius.
    • Deals 40/55/70/85% Attack Damage as physical damage to intended target and 50% less Damage to unintended targets.
    • Projectile has 70 touch radius, other projectile parameters (travel range limit, travel speed) are same as Lackey's current projectile.
    • Projectile hits stealth enemy unit.
    • Has 5 levels of the ability and this ability already is leveled at the start of the game but the active is locked until the ability is level 2.
  • ATK Drones:
    • Change from an active ability to a passive, granting 1.5/3/4.5 mana regeneration and 80/160/240 Max Mana.
    • Every time Klanx spends 20 or more mana, he gets a stacking individually timed 6/9/12 bonus attack damage for 4/5/6 seconds.
    • Leveling the ultimate unlocks Lackey ability to switch current Lackey with available Drones in a cycle by pressing the R button as default (works like Steamboots' attribute switch).
    • There are 2 (3) variants of Drone to be switched with Lackey, Bombard Drone, Burst Drone, and Vacuum Drone.
    • When Klanx attacks, Bombard Drone creates the projectile destination at target's location and has a 0.6 second delay to the projectile reaching the destination, dealing damage in 200 radius (works like Geomancer's old Earth's Grasp).
      • Bombard Drone projectile damage hits stealth unit.
    • When Klanx attacks, Vacuum Drone creates a homing projectile 1300 units away from Klanx to move towards him with 1600 speed but it immediately ends its travel and deals damage to first contacted enemy & enemies in 200 radius to travel's end (works like Prisoner's first ability).
      • Vacuum Drone's projectile touch radius and touch behavior are same as Lackey's.
    • All Drones follow Lackey's damage and attack pattern.
    • Staff boost (eliminating all current Staff): adds 1 Drone variant to switch, Burst Drone. When Klanx attacks, Burst Drone deals damage instantly to enemies (whether visible or not) within 550 radius to it.

Thought Process:

  • This change is proposed to maximize the utilization of both mobility ability of Klanx and Drone's models.
  • This proposed change brings back old Lackey with some adjustments.

Why? That's not how physical damage works in this game. You realise that this skill will not deal damage to enemies under effect of SH and Void.

Imagine Artillery's/Drunken's Q not dealing damage to target under MI.
