Nevermind you were right. Its my Avast antivirus. Just dont know how to adjust it

I'm not sure if that is the problem since I've been playing the game for years. I should give more details. When I download the game the shortcut icon does not appear on my screen. its a different icon with the letters HoN x64 underneath. When I click on it, it gives me a missing shortcut error and asks if I want to browse or cancel. This happens right after I download the game. Not sure why I have had this problem in the last few months.

Sometimes my HON will just uninstall for some unknown reason. The shortcut will no longer work. I try to reinstall the game but it just goes through the motions, but doesn't reinstall the game.
