  3. Would it be possible to implement purchasing Plinko tickets with silver coins? Not sure what the conversion rate would be maybe 1000 silver for 102 Plinko tickets? That way 1000 silver gets you at least 1 chest or 2 Plinko rolls, as the worst prize is 30 tickets and would get you the 2nd roll. This might be my personal experience but I'm more interested in the possible Plinko avatars than the avatars I can purchase with silver since I've played so much for so long. Thanks

  4. Alright first of all, I have no idea when the next patch is coming and how big it is; so these suggestions are basically what I want to see in HoN in the near future. Some are probably too "luxury" but I thought about sharing them anyway, not gonna hurt anybody if people disagree or if changes take time to implement. I know that Frostburn staff works harder than they should to keep HoN alive, regardless of lack of time and resources, they are doing a good job. So here we go: Interface: Make the K:D/K:A:D and those streak stats visible on the first page when you open player's stats.

  9. Calm your tits, like perhaps stop looking at Dota2 patch notes and copy pasting everything into their own ? Create a game that has its own direction and own goals rather than again copy pasting every single piece of change from a different game ? I remember they finally made something fun by removing Kongor and having two extra objectives that had its own rewards, but the problem is HoN playerbase are just stuck on the nostalgia factor. Your game is already dying, and you're still stuck, living in a bubble thinking that its good. Like, the results speak for themselves. But I guess you will sti

  10. Hi all, I can give a small update - we've been working on the HoN 64-bit client for a while (long before the donations page was created). One of the main barriers is the proper implementation of the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) to replace Awesomium for 32 & 64 bit clients, since Awesomium has no 64-bit equivalent (the library was abandoned by its developers). Chromium is necessary to integrate to the HoN Client before we can make the client available publically, since a web browser library is required for the in-game Message-of-the-Day (MotD) panels to be displ

  11. Background: For any given avatar, there is a unique demand curve. The more that avatar costs, the fewer will be sold. As avatars are "digital" goods, the supply line is perfectly flat; FB can meet any arbitrary demand with no additional investment. To maximize income, avatars should be priced at wherever COST x UNITS SOLD is maximized. This is a challenging calculation that relies on market predictions, which is why there are constantly sales and adjustments for all digital content across all digital games. What if game companies didn't have to predict pricing demand? What i

  12. Items depend on your roIe and on enemy heroes. a few ground ruIes are: If you pIay shortIane carry aIways upgrade boots then farming item then damage or shrunken (you onIy want to buy shrunken if it is 100% necessary, eIse you wanna go damage/IifesteaI). AIso note that firebrand is core on 90% of aII carries. Boots: If enemies have high phys dmg hero, e.g. Panda, DW, Iegio you buy armorboots. HP vs armor: The onIy time you want to buy fIat hp (heIm etc) over armor is, if enemies have a magic dmg nuke hero that does a certain amount of dmg, e.g. PebbIes, pyro etc. you want to ha

  13. Armor is underrated. When in doubt buy armor. Items like Grave Locket, Ring of Teacher (and it's forms), and Plated Greaves are efficient to build and go a long way towards survival. Additionally, the extremely efficient Energizer can give you an edge on positioning and escaping while providing a huge benefit to your team in the process. Too many people, in my opinion, go for "big" items early. I prefer to fill up my inventory (less a slot or two) with low and mid tier items that are extremely efficient in terms of effects-to-cost ratio. This gives you an important early game adv

  14. Generally speaking Items. Try to go for items that give more than one thing. Items like geomancers and frostwolf give you all stats and an extra ability. Stats are very good because you get dmg, armor, reg, atkspeed, mana and hp. Hex used to be +10 all stats (iirc) but since it's already gives a great debuff the extra agi and str made it too good. Dawnbringer is not very good though because it gives a little of everything which means your gold is better spent on a more focused item. Armor and hp. What to go for depends on what hero you are playing and your opponents heros. Armor is v

  15. Item picks are highly dependent on opposing item and hero picks. Personally I usually favour armour over HP as it scales a lot better (armour gives damage reduction, hp gives straight hp) If for example a team is mostly magic damage and i have already got shrunken/headress/barrier then straight hp/str is a better choice than physical armour, however sometimes the best way of mitigating/preventing damage is preventing the opponent from outputting it, in which case crowd control items are extremely effective and often under estimated. A good way to work on your item choices is to look

  17. This thread is done as it went far off topic and devolved into flame wars. HoN is original enough by keeping as true as it can to classic DotA compared to the other games. That's one of its niches.
