The Windows Networking Issues Forum is a place where you can seek S2 or volunteer assistance if you are unable to solve your networking problems using the wiki.

Structure

First of all, the Windows Network Issues Forum, like most of the technical support forum is set up so you may only post new threads and reply to threads you have started. Only S2Games employees and Support Volunteers may reply to others threads. This is to prevent hijacking of threads; even though people may see the same symptoms, the underlying causes can be vastly different which adds a lot of confusion to the threads.

Secondly, you must select a thread tag. Please select the tag describing the error you are getting.

Posting

To make new threads on the Windows Networking Forum, you must adhere to these rules:

• You must have completed the possible solutions for the crash type you are experiencing. If you are unable to figure out the instructions, you must write a detailed explanation about which part you are having trouble with and exactly what about the step you cannot figure out.
• If you cannot find the error you are experiencing in the wiki, read all of the tech support wiki pages. You may be looking under the wrong category. If you are still unable to find the error, please send a PM to IAmRoot on the forums and include as detailed of an explanation of your problem and system setup as you can.
• Please ensure your post contains:
  • The exact error messages you are receiving
  • Please give both ping and fps if your problem is lag related.
  • Your console.log. If you are unable to upload it to tools.heroesofnewerth.com, pastebin or similar services may be used. However, we will not accept logs from any service with timers (rapidshare, megaupload, etc).
  • A detailed explanation of what you have tried. Write down everything you did for each step. The more detailed you can be, the better. You must provide the link to your console.log.
  • The system specs of the computer you are trying to run HoN on, and the relevant software running on it: Windows OS version and word length (32 or 64 bit), firewall software, and antivirus software.
  • How long you have been experiencing the issue
  • You must not be using any mods.
  • The output of start->run->msinfo32. Do a file->save, zip the .nfo file, then upload it on the forums.
  • If you make any changes to HoN or your system in response to S2 or Volunteer replies, you must upload a new console.log in your reply if you are still experiencing graphical errors. Even though the error may still be the same, there could be multiple causes.
  • You must at least attempt to upload a console.log in which the error occurs. HoN overwrites the console.log each time it is started, so you must either back up the console.log containing the error or not relaunch HoN.

If you fail to meet these requirements will probably just result in being asked to comply with them. Although it may look like we are requiring a lot, it will save a lot of time both for you and for us if we don't have to keep asking for the above information.
