200,000 Accounts Received Invites

We have given the last 200,000 accounts to join the beta 2 invites today. Please help us spread the word to the player population and let's get some more activity in here.

Does this mean we're approaching release? Typically constantly stress testing servers is one of the last acts of a beta.

We have been stress testing with each batch of invites, since i started beta a few months back

So we'd just log in and check our accounts?

Will gold-shields like myself have a higher chance to recieve invites?

I've got friends dying to get in and see if it really is DotA or not, but the only thing I can do for them is say 'Wait for facebook' or pay to have the last three friends pre-purchase and have them give me their invites.

Also the DNA was lifted right? The HON video can be on youtube?

I certainly hope not. There have been fewer and fewer patches lately and they're still working on introducing several new things from the last "working on" update.

This game needs more work before it can be considered ready for release. Besides, they just launched the site. To announce it now without any sort of marketing (yes, I realize that a lot of people know about this game, but not as many people as I'm sure S2 would like have had a chance to test it) would be foolish. The site needs to be up and fully running first (last I checked there were still some missing info bits) and no release date announcement yet.

S2 knows better.

HON will not see 09 release if you ask me, Might be rushed for Nov/Dec release though.

In the end I expect the same quality of a product from S2 as I always have, been a big fan since the Savage days, Lost faith when I paid 55$ for Savage 2 on Steam only to have it fail due to Vista + account creation bugs, but HoN (Besides what I consider to be a questionable naming convention, Sounds extremely asian like Wii) restored all that lost faith and I'm planning on buying in bulk if they release it via Steam as well (Steam makes it easy for me to waste money on my friends so they'll game with me.)

did accounts only receive invites if they had no invites left?

Yay! Now I can invite my other friends who have yet to experience HoN.

I hope they don't release it on steam. Plus S2 has to pay steam to have their game on it. So it might not be a wise move.

How does one get in on these many invites? I could use one or two more to pimp to my buds. Have they already been sent out?

I had 2 extra invites left over from me buying the game...and yet I didnt get any more invites...?

EDIT: I did get the email that says I had 2 extra invites...But the invites I have are the ones from pre ordering.

Did you guys read what Maliken said? Only the last 200,000 accounts got invites, which means anyone who registered in July didn't.

may i ask some more beta invites for those who pre-ordered? i think that only 3 invites for the pre-purchase is a bit "meh".

i hoped for 5-10 invites..

This either means that 200000 people have joined the beta since my account was created(which would trigger a "holy ****, that's alot of people" response) or it just means you forgot about my account!
