Ya but I'm curious if there's a better mechanic I can use to achieve the same thing. The coding as is will not work, but I am looking at other mods to see how they achieve similar results. If push comes to shove, I can always completely redesign the coding to allow players to check a hero with the mouse instead of making it a dropdown list. Until I dig further into the mod I can't say for sure what direction I'll be going with it, but I plan to fix it one way or another. lol

possible to add an option so u can choose a hero for Hero Picker in the Lobby (where u have to sit down)? Maybe just a dropdown menu somewhere in the Lobby ui. So u dont have to go to options anymore and more important it reminds u, that u have it on! So u can quickly turn it off or change the hero!

supposed to be "automatic" and not "Hero Pick Hotkey". no point using it, ill learn the place myself.

guys, if you know how modding works, all you need to do is open the Automatic hero picker.honmod with WinRar or whatever archiver you have. Then pull the mod.xml to your desktop. Then, right click the mod.xml, hit open with... and then open with notepad. Then scroll down to where you see all the lines of code that look very similar, find a spot for a new line of code, you'll notice the heroes are coded in alphabetically. So once you find the spot to put the hero you want to add, like moraxus, which would go after moonqueen's line of code.

Just add a new line of text, one that looks the same format as the rest of the heros, pretty much copy and paste till you get to the spots where it wants the Text for the heroes name in the list(Moraxus), and the spot where it wants the heroes ingame file(Hero_Moraxus), after youve added the new line of code and its in the same format as the other lines of code for heros, just hit file on top of notepad, and then hit save.
Then you close notepad, go to the Automatic Hero Picker.honmod opened with WinRar and then hit the button on the top which says "Add" then you get a popup that gives you your computer directory, go to your desktop and add the mod.xml file and hit ok.
Now you can close all the windows you have open and start the game. now you'll see that moraxus is one of your choices in the scroll down box. if you did it right. you can do that for every hero that isn't in automatic hero picker already.

Option 2 (the easy way)

Step 1. Download my Mod.xml file ---> http://www.mediafire.com/?9iwiq3ms9t3drle (doesn't include Myrmidon and heroes that came out after him) Look for more updated versions by me later on in this thread.

Step 2. Open Hero_Auto_Picker.honmod with WinRar (Right click the file and hit "Open With")

Step 3. Click the button that says "Add"

Step 4. Find the mod.xml file you downloaded from my mediafire link and hit OK once you have it selected

Step 5. Close all the windows you have open and start HoN to see if they work.

I added Doctor Repulsor, Flint Beastwood, Bombardier, Moraxus, and I can't recall all the others i added but you can be sure i got em all.

I wont be updating this mod.xml file every time a new hero comes out but i gave the steps to adding them yourself. So don't bug me when they port Lycan finally next patch and you can't auto pick him. Lulz

Run WinRar as Administrator. If that doesn't work I dunno what i can help you with. Also, don't run HoN while you're adding the file to the honmod.

This mod has been replaced from 3 other "maintainer mods", and soon after that - after i got annoyed from those mods - abandoned as i created Instantpick.
Instantpick offers all heroes without the need of updates for specific heroes, and is also official follow-up mod to Auto-Alt, newer versions need Java Modmanager though, to find a older more compatible (but lacking some newer feaures) version search the last few sites of the thread, i posted an official dl.
