    In-game swap

Searched, but didn't find any posts related to this.
Also chose [Gameplay] as Prefix, since it felt like the right thing to do.

So, I'm sure most of you guys have played DotA.

And, I'm you also have ended up with 2 leavers on 1 team.

Remember the -swap <number> command in DotA? I'm sure those of you who used to(or still do) play DotA know it.

Explanation for those who don't know:

It's pretty simple let's say that you join a 5v5 game.

2 people on the opposite team ragequit, the game is ruined. Hurray.

Now, this is where my suggestion will kick in. The remaining players should be able to vote for [leaver] to get kicked, and [x-player] on opposite team to take the kicked leaver spot, so the game would end up 4v4 instead of 5v3.

The command could be like this:
    -swap 1 1
    - this would swap player 1(blue) with player 1 on the opposite team(pink)
    or
    -swap blue pink
    - would swap blue with pink

    Concerns:
    1. The kicked player's items and gold. Where should it go? Obviously, it should go to the leavers original team, but since the leaving person's team get's x-amount of gold AND a new player, would this make it unfair the the other team? They lose a player. No gain.
    2. The instant kick could also prove to a problem. Let's say the leaver only loses connection, and the team then tries to swap him. Not giving the leaver a chance to get back in?

A solution to concern 2. Could be to only let players swap, if the leaver already have left the game, not reconnecting in the time you have left to reconnect.

Please post any concern or question you may have. I'll answer everything to the best of my capabilities.

Against. Swapping dont solves any problems. It ruins every balance the game had in the beginning. Im glad they didnt include it. It was a big problem in Dota. Almost every game went up with swapping. They actually suggested swapping when one team looked bad. And then with pause all the time laming till the swap is done. I dont want this for Hon. Swap is the worst feature they put in dota at all.

I personally never had any problems while swapping. Took under 20 sec and i went on with the game. You've probably just been unlucky.
Maybe, instead of making it universal a thing, make the swapping an game option? So hosts can turn it on or off.

Against, it wouldn't be balanced in majority of cases.

    Terrible idea...

Talk about an easy way to plant and stack teams not to mention this would **** up PSR entirely.

i didnt complain about the time it takes to swap, but about the swap itself.
what is the purpose of the game when you swap the teams around when it seems to be "unbalanced"?

Leaver% and generally No Leaver Games are much better, plus the -Switch Option doesn't work out with recorded Stats.

    It was also somewhat 'needed' because there was no Way to notice Player Skill before the Game started;
So one often played horribly unbalanced Pubs - PSR should avoid that (it doesn't, but you get the picture).

Basically, it will end up like this:

You play super awesome Supporter, allow your Carry to Freefarm your Lane.
You sacrifice yourself three times to save your Carry who is Ganked, and after 25 Minutes he is farmed to no End,
which leads to him constantly raping the Enemy Team. Two Enemies RageQuit.
Your Carry decides to Switch the Team, some Retards in your Team pass it, the Enemies obviously as well.
Your Carry now proceeds to destroy you, and even though you played really well, you get a Loss.

Or, it will lead to people doing well, then switching, but still Losing.
So the did well, but were nice afterwards and lose PSR for it, what is entirely retarded.

    Thumbs down, down, down.

E: The only place where it would be halfway viable would be No Stats games. But nobody plays them, so it's not really needed.

If it was like re-make where if they RQ in the beginning and they have a timelimit to switch over then yes it would be good, but if it lasts through the whole game then nope!
