    Glove of Astral Absorption

    Basic Item:



    750 Gold (can be changed, don't have my heart set on this)


    On attack, adds 5 mana to your mana pool. Counts as an Attack Modifier.

    Cheaper Basic Item Alternative

    450 Gold - On attack, adds 3 mana to your mana pool.



    Recipe version

    :MarkOfTheNovice::MarkOfTheNovice::goldenshield:= 550

    +6 INT
    On attack, add 5 mana to your mana pool.


    Examples of how this Basic Item can be used in a recipe

    This + :Stormspirit: = Energy storm

    Removes a target from battle for 3 seconds, draining 20 mana per second.



    This + :Thunderclaw: = Astral Disruption.

    On attack, you gain 10 mana and there is a % chance that the target will take 150 magic damage and gain the "Mana Leak" effect.

    Mana Leak
    --------------------------------
    loses 20% mana of your current mana on the next spell cast. Lasts one spell or 5 seconds.

    PS, I only added this cause people described having problems with the "mana leach" mechanic.

    This one is easy and straight forward and i think it gets the job done in an easy to balance way.

    interesting item as you have to balance "auto-attacking" creeps to gain mana with it pushing the lane.

    It would help Int heroes a lot, probably make it a recipe, with low stat boosts and rather high price

    I really like this as a basic item. It seems like a big investment for an item that would be most useful early game. Idk wut to think about its price. Anyway, cool idea. It would be interesting to think of recipes it could go into

    But, I would rather not go that route.

    Would make a great early game item for mana-dependent heroes.
    The 800gp costs is kinda bad though.

    Edit: Maybe it can be upgraded with another item later in the game to make it an all-game worthy item instead of a early-game only item.
    Just a thought though.

    I think it certainly will be better off as a basic item for sure, and the cost would be fine off at 750 gold, possibly a little higher.

    I think this item would be a greater benefit for agi/as heros relying on spells than others but still it's a nice idea with a little scaling ability(as increase).

    Might be used alternatively for heros with low int/mana regen instead of buying regen items

    Maybe there could be a possibility to increase the effect but still can be called balanced.

    i find this an interesting idea, however, i don't think it would be used very much (except in pubs) because of the fact that you'd have to auto attack, as yyr_ said. however, gaining mana per attack could also help you get more kills very early on, meaning though you may be giving enemy heroes more experience by pushing to their towers, you may also kill them and gain an advantage. it's certainly worth testing

    Don't forget, this could be a jungler's best friend too. Although, I think only tempest really needs to nuke alot. Maybe succubus could jungle better?

    Its quite possible that this item might need to drop to under the 600 mark to be useful, but that might make it a tad OP.
