Plane Guardian (Ganker, Initiator, Carry)
I don't have a concept picture, yet. I will try to get one up, if I can find something, or draw something. Think kind of like Andromeda, just he's a buff spirit, armored, and has a polearm.
Affiliation:
Legion
Lore:
The Plane Guardian is a being that fights for all that is good. As the Hellbourne grow stronger, he has decided to fight for the Legion, to protect the higher planes.
Role:
The Plane Guardian can act as an initator, and a hard carry late game. With his skills, he can be used as a powerful ganker, and he has synergy (and counter synergy) when used with (and against) a team. He's not supposed to be a hard tank, and is relatively skill dependant until end game. He is a little squishier, and has lower damage, than other STR heroes. End game, he would become more item dependant. (But then against, aren't all carries?) His spells cost a lot of mana, and he's squishy - so he is item dependant for regen.
STR: 23 (+2.6)
AGI: 15 (+1.5)
INT: 17 (+1.8)
Move Speed: 280
Range: 128
Armor: 2.97
Damage: 49~55
Skills:
Skill 1: Plane warp
What it does:
"Warps" a 900 area radius. Enemy units inside the area are pulled towards the center. In the 400 range center, enemies will take a nuke damage after 4 seconds when the skill ends. On the 500 radius outer shell, units will take small DPS. Is escapable if you have greater move speed, (though it may pull you and have resistance). This skill does NOT interrupt casting.
Level1: 150 physical damage nuke, 15 DPS outside. -20 attack speed to enemies. 130 mana cost.
Level2: 225 physical damage nuke, 20 DPS outside. -25 attack speed to enemies. 160 mana cost.
Level3: 300 physical damage nuke, 25 DPS outside. -30 attack speed to enemies. 190 mana cost.
Level4: 375 physical damage nuke, 30 DPS outside. -35 attack speed to enemies. 210 mana cost.
All levels have time of 4 seconds on the warp. All levels have a 30 second cooldown.
Note: Plane Guardian and allies can enter the Plane Warp freely to attack.Skill 2: Plane swipe
What it does:
Plane Guardian swipes his polearm in a 400 range (side to side and forward/backwards) in front of him. Does medium damage, and has a slow.
This means it has a reach of 400 range, and has a side-to-side radius of 400.
Level1: 60 physical damage nuke, 20% slow, 2 seconds. 13 second cooldown. 90 mana cost.
Level2: 120 physical damage nuke, 20% slow, 3 seconds. 12 second cooldown. 110 mana cost.
Level3: 200 physical damage nuke, 20% slow, 4 seconds. 11 second cooldown. 130 mana cost.
Level4: 260 physical damage nuke, 20% slow, 5 seconds. 10 second cooldown. 150 mana cost.Skill 3: Planal Bomb
What it does: Plane Guardian targets a unit, and the unit gets reduced armor. All units around it in a 450 unit radius suffer DPS. DPS is physical damage.
Level1: -3 armor, 4 seconds. 20 DPS to all units around the target. 115 mana cost.
Level2: -4 armor, 5 seconds. 30 DPS to all units around the target. 155 mana cost.
Level3: -5 armor, 6 seconds. 40 DPS to all units around the target. 195 mana cost.
Level4: -6 armor, 7 seconds. 50 DPS to all units around the target. 235 mana cost.
All levels have a 20 second cooldown.Synergy between skills: Plane Guardian can use his Plane Distortion to initiate, because then an enemy won't know where his enemies are coming from, and they will have reduced armor. This synergizes well, because his first two skills deal PHYSICAL DAMAGE. Less armor, more damage.. Next, a Plane Warp can be dropped on an enemy, to try to hold them in that area. Then, you drop Plane Swipe on them, so they have even more difficulty escaping the Plane Warp. Even some of the fastest heroes can be kept in there with a 20-30% slow. This allows him to effectively gank. He can use his ultimate after the combo to hit his enemies with another, stronger slow, and his 6th attacks will deal true damage, so he can jump into the plane warp and start hitting his enemies very hard. End game, his skills combined with his ultimate keep him a persistant threat.Skill 4: Ultimate: Celestial Plane
What it does: Plane Guardian begins to attack enemies on a different plane. For every attack, Plane Guardian gains a charge. Once Plane Guardian reaches 5 charges, his next attack will deal additional true damage.
Level1: Celestial Plane lasts for 15 seconds. Will deal 50 true damage every 6 attacks. 80 second cooldown. 100 mana cost.
Level2: Celestian Plane lasts for 20 seconds. Will deal 60 true damage every 6 attacks. 70 second cooldown. 200 mana cost.
Level3: Celestial Plane lasts for 25 seconds. Will deal 70 true damage every 6 attacks. 60 second cooldown. 300 mana cost.
Passive bonus (while ultimate is activated): Plane Swipe will had a 30% slow, instead of a 20%.
Other stratagies:
If you're against a Tempest or Chronos, you can drop your Plane Warp in their ultimates, to reduce attack speed of any melees inside there attacking your allies, and nuke any enemies that don't get away. This is counter-synergy.
You can do the opposite, to anyone IN an ALLIED Tempest or Chronos' ult. They will take lots of damage, and after your allies ult run out, they still will have a hard time getting away. This can be combined with other ultimates such as Moon Queen, to create effect comboes that will destroy your enemies.
His Plane Warp also synergizes well with AOE stuns, such as Pebbles and Hammerstorm.
Item builds:
I would say;
Steamboots - Gives him faster attack speed, which he would need if he carries end game.
Black Helm of the Legion - He's a bit squishier than other STR, and this would be a great item for him.
Sacrificial Stone - Will help him with more health regen, and gives him very nice mana regen, so he can stay in a fight without dying, or help him to be more effective if you have to run from a fight, and then you're fighting again without going back to the pool.
Frost Burn - Will help him move faster, attack faster, and keep enemies pinned down with the slow.
Luxuries:
Armor Breaker - Will help reduce enemies armor even FURTHER, making his spells do more damage, along with giving him a lot more damage.
Rune Axe - more regen, more damage.
Mock of Brilliance - helps give him more DPS, and makes him more of a presence when he has someone trapped in his Plane Warp.
EDIT:
The main counter I see to this guy would be Predator.
