I dont realy like the idea of a... Kirby with a floating hand. The newerth universe is getting butchered by this game, and i dont want that to happen any further. Thats why i am voting no. Remake the character, though, and its a yes.

Ok I gave it one last shot. Although the hero begins to loose all meaning if the hand is changed. (Made the hand into a skull ghost thing)Of those 2, i prefer the first.

I personally don't like any cartoon-esque like character ideas, [there seems to be a lot of them floating around]
The New Erth realm to me is a bit more of a "serious-ish-looking" vibe, with epic spell effects, monsters, swords, armour and blood.
But thats my opinion. ^_^

Why the hell are cartoon characters bad? I loved Puck and he was pretty cartoony.

Reason being, I don't want to put just any hero into Top Suggestions. I want to put one that the community has helped to refine and polish. One that is truly worthy of being there.

I voted yes. Posting so that my vote counts as a full point for your poll. Agree that he sort of doesn't fit the 'universe' in the original appearance, but that can be easily changed (and you have).
Changing the appearance is stupid. Theres no point making something less awesome just because it doesn't fit the fanatic's interpretation of "Lore" when this game is inventing NEW lore.
I personally think the appearance is awesome - why couldn't Mahnd be a champion of a weaker race who set out to defend his homeland against the onslaught of the Hellbourne? When something threatens to wipe every race off of the land, even the smallest and meekest of people fight to defend themselves. Hobbits, anyone?
I'm not against a little weak dude with a giant hand. I just meant how it looks sort of cartoony (mostly because of how he was drawn). Sure, model him up in 3d and give him a more 'realistic' look like the rest of the heroes and he's good to go. I do like the original look over the demon one with the skull ghost.

I never said anything about putting a sprite in so I don't know where you got that idea. I'm saying if you threw in:
it would not fit the game world at all. An almost cell-shaded model does not fit in with the models we currently have, and the overall feel of the game. I can see him being "grittied-up" and not made out of plastic. He would fit in fine then. Reading comprehension.

The reason he's not 'gritty' right now is because, well honestly, lack of skill.
I don't have the artistic capabilities do something like that.
