    Nymphoras level 4 bomb

    I don't think it does anywhere near the amount of damage it says it does.. It's supposed to do lilke 300+ magic damage?

    It seems like it does 100..

    magic armor decreases the dmg, go and play some practice mode and try on different lvl 25 heroes.
    New announcer kicks ass and doesnt afraids of anything.

    it does exactly how much damage it says it does but it is reduced by magic armor so it will seem like less.

    Some magic armor items/abilities will substantially reduce dmg taken from spells like Nymph pod, like headdress+devourer or magebane that blinks. So the pod doing around 100dmg is likely on some heroes.

    It won't reduce it by THAT much...

    Level 4 Volatile Pod does 360 magic damage; a Magebane with +15 Magic Armor (Level 4 Flash) gives 20.5 Magic Armor (total).

    Using the damage reduction formula, 0.06*20.5/ (1 + 0.06*20.5) = 0.55156950672645739910313901345291 55.2% damage reduction.

    So Nymphora's Pod will get reduced to approximately ~161 damage. Devourer has 19.5 Magic Armor with Shaman's Headdress + Level 4 Cadaver Armor, so it'll reduce the damage slightly less.

    100 damage is far too much of an exaggeration for most heroes; ~200 is much more reasonable.

    Now it's a different story with Arachna though; her Carapace gives +35 Magic Armor at level 4, which gives her a total of 40.5 Magic Armor & gives 70.8% Damage Reduction, which reduces Pod's damage to ~105 damage.

    Is it possible to get higher than 55 magic armor with 5.5(arachna's starting m.armor) + 35(carapace) + 10(shaman's headress) + 5(magebane blinking next to her)?

    Yes they do stack. Confirmed using Arachna and Andromeda.

    Carapace with Mystic Vestments left Arachna with 595 health. Carapace with no vestments left Arachna with 588 health.

    His question was whether he can get higher than 55.5 magic armor, not whether they stack or not.

    Of course they stack, only 1 item source of Magic Armor is used; the rest are from skill buffs and the standard hero armor.
