Good thing about playing with friends: you will never get kicked when picking Night Hound as Orange or Brown.
If you are soloing mid, and need to control runes anyways.. It's also good if you are ganking, since you can bottle the runes and use them at the right time. The 600g is well worth it..

its a good item, just not a good FIRST item, i got a courier + totems and some regen... then scout got the courier killed... while it was holding my boots... I had the courier ferry me down a bottle after i got the $$$ and needed the invis coz pwn queen was chasing me... and he just runs in and takes it! SOOO MUCH RAGE!!! i hate that when scout is on my team he feeds, when he is on the other team? BLOODBATH! QUAD KILL ANNIHILATION GENOCIDE! THE LEGION ARE OWNING!
