Option 1, the Expendable:
Option 2, the Permanent:Runes of Nature
Cost: 110g*Comes in stacks of 2
Mana Cost: 5
*May buy 1 every 5min (Similar to wards)
Creates a magical tree at target location for 30s that is twice the size of a normal tree. While active the tree will block line of sight as any other tree would do. Can be targeted by Runes of Blight, Logger's Hatchet, and any spells with naturally destroy trees.
Mana Cost: 5

So, this idea just popped into my head: If we have runes that destroy trees, why not have runes that create them? This item could be used for many things. For example, if you're trying to juke the enemy team through a tight passage of forest, why not sprout a tree behind you and ensure your escape (hopefully)? If you see an enemy going into the Outpost area, try walling off the closer exit and trap him!
I put a few safeguards in here. The mana cost is to prevent people from Courier-Treeing people (without +mana items, of course). I put the shop cooldown up so you couldn't have an entire team buy them right off the bat and wreak pathing havoc on everybody. And the range is just a convenience, really.
I imagine these to be those seldom-used but effective if placed correctly items (See Tablet of Command!). Personally, I'd love to use these, but I'd like the community's feedback first.
EDIT: All right, so I added a permanent version of this item as an idea. Tell me what you think of both suggestions.
EDIT 2: I apologize about the consumable item. It said buy 2 every 5 min, but I meant 1 every 5 min. Sorry for the typo! :O
P.S. If someone already posted this, I apologize! I haven't looked through all the suggestions yet. As I said, this was a spur of the moment thing for me.

The griefing potential is pretty hilarious for this since you could block your teammates. And if teammates could walk through them it would be pretty overpowered. Just my initial thought. If somehow this could be avoided I think this could interesting to use. This game needs more basic items.
I love it. if you do raise the cost 150 would be cool. no higher than 200. It's only powerful if used right. Go good w/ my beanstalk idea.
Nobody would ever use these.

Well, if you can't use it near trees, it would take away from the juking + escaping aspect of the item. And I think a lot more things can be used to grief people in this game (Like using Repel on a low-hp Nymph who's got a pod on the ground, Pebbles using his chuck to throw people into the enemy, Ophelia's command to send people back to base, etc.). I mean, sure people could be douchebags in pub games, but then again everyone can right-click to the enemy's base to grief everyone.
Btw, thanks everyone for your input, even if you don't like it.
And I think a small radius of 50 would be a compromise that would prevent exact blocking/trapping and still maintain effective in-tree efficiency. They are still efficient outside of forests as a means of sight blockers, its just the idea of trapping yourself inside a forest is not a very appealing idea in my opinion.
Haha, marvelous idea my friend! but does it have to be huge compared to the other trees? why not make it the same sizes but with different colors! O_o
start blocking your creep lanes from level 1 and you will have them all blocked in like 10 minutes
They can't block, because then you could block your base. Making it so that creeps couldn't leave it.
You can't block from level 1... You'd need multiple stacks of them to wall the lane, and you can't do that with only 2 trees. You'd need 4-5, meaning the earliest would be between 10-15 minutes... And it only lasts 1 creep wave. Trees expire after 30s. It's just like using a Whispering Helm or Behemoth's Fissure to block them. :s
Awesome item with a wonderful amount of uses.
It also adds a clever skill-based mechanic into a game which some people have been saying feels bland.
Dont make them expire, if someone is going to block off the base good for them. They waste like 600 gold and Pyromancers or any other AoE nuker can remove them all instantly. Also stopping creeps leaving means your towers will be pushed and now you have less map control.

I Agree with yyr. They should be permanent and same color as normal trees. I imagine this as a great item to protect yourself from heroes chasing you inside those tight jungles in the border of the map. One tree would be enough to ensure your safety against most heroes. But it's a very situational item, and most people would agree it's kind of a waste of money. I think this should be a little cheaper or modified, since it has many limitations. Maybe make it a long cooldown permanent item? Something like costing 500G but not disappearing after use, and having something like a 45 second cooldown, and giving a little stats. Would make quite an early game item, don't you think?
Well, I liked the last suggestion, so I added it into the OP. BUMP / Comment + Stuff!
Hm, I guess its a bad idea...Funny, but even with a shop cooldown you could abuse them.
You can simply buy some runes and wait for new runes to come in the shop. If you got a stack of 12 then, you coulld simply block a lane, wood entrances and so on, so you force your enemys to take a loggers with them the entire game or get tonnes of runes of blight...
Also you could trap enemys in Kongers Lair for example, seperate them during the battle...Funny idea, but I guess its a little bit to overpowered...
Wait... You know you can only have a max of 5 trees at any given time that would disappear... Right? And if one person got a stack of 12... He can still only have one tree out at a time. With a 5 min cooldown, that's 30min into the game, at which point no amount of lane stacking will do much good (Most heroes could clear the creep wave easy).
