Many people(and me) are getting tired of chronos because he is too OP and they want to nerf his Ult because it is too imba(well not for me).
I believe that he needs a remake more than a nerf, (or bring the old chronos back).
Here's an idea that i came up with that will make him a good 1-1 killer, a semi-setter on clashes, a mid-late carry hero and the master of time.
Time Leap
From:
Chronos teleports himself through space and time to a target location. Any nearby enemies are slowed.Teleports self to target position and applies Time Sap to enemies in radius for 3 seconds. Deals 50,100,150,200 Magic damage on impact
Time Sap
10 / 20 / 30 / 40% Movement Slow
To:
Teleports self to target position and applies Time Sap to enemies in radius for 4 seconds. Deals 50,75,125,150 Magic damage on impact.
Time Sap
-10/ -15 / -20 / -25% MS, -5/ -10/ -15/ -20% AS,
-15/ -20/ -25/ -30% CS.
Rewind
From:
When damaged, Chronos has a 10,15,20,25% chance to heal back the damage at a rate of up to 25% of his maximum health/second.
To:
When damaged, Chronos has a 5,10,15,20% chance to heal back the damage at a rate of up to 10% of his maximum health/2sec.
Curse of Ages
From:
* Steals 1/2/3/4 Agility per hit, debuff lasts 10 seconds. Each debuff is individually timed
* Four consecutive hits on the same target will lock that target in time (stun) for 1 second
* While someone is stunned by Curse of Ages, Chronos can not build charges towards another stun or steal any agility
* Does not stack with Brutalizer
* No longer propagates to illusions
To:

* Six consecutive hits on the same target will lock that target in time (stun) for 1 second
* While someone is stunned by Curse of Ages, Chronos can not build charges towards another stun or steal any agility

Ult- Replay (need name suggestion)
On activation: A chronos like "spirit" will copy his recent action (I want the "spirit" to look like chronos when he used time leap)
lvl1: 8 sec cooldown mana cost: 30
lvl2: 5 sec cooldown mana cost: 40
lvl3: 2 sec cooldownmana cost: 50
Time Leap+Replay:
- Deals 150dmg+timesap (lvl4) then when Replay is activated, A chronos like "spirit" will follow and also do Time leap dealing 300dmg+timesap (timesap will stack, meaning it will also do -50%MS, -40%AS, 60%CS for 4seconds)
- 10% chance a second "spirit" will follow once Replay is activated. 450dmg+timesap (-50%MS, -40%AS, Silence for 4 sec)
Rewind+Replay:
- When rewind is active, then you activated Replay, it will heal chronos for 20% of his maximum health/sec.
Normal Attack+Replay
- When chronos is attacking and Replay is activated, the chronos like "spirit" will appear and also attack
- When the "spirit" attacks, it will also add a charge on Curse of Ages and will also steal Agi.
- When chronos has riftshards and does a crit, the "spirit" will just do a normal attack and will not copy the crit. Same goes with chain lightning (Charged hammer, Thunderclaw), Lifesteal, and Mana Combustion.
- The purpose of Replay is to add a charge on Curse of Ages and steal Agi.
What do you guys think? just post a comment/suggestions that will make this remake better.
Hmm I rather like the ulti but the ulti he has now makes him very unique and adds a whole aspect to the game so I am ify on this... I remain undecided for now. Oh and wrong section should go in heros section.
yeah, this make him very unique and less boring. i believe he is more balanced this way.
he will still be a boring hero even if they nerfed him. thats why I suggest a remake
All he needs is a nerf to ult radius and his leap range if they insist on keeping the damage AND slow components (cough OP)..
If they want his leap to be used primarily to initiate they could convert it to NH style blinkstrike or require a target within X range to be able to leap there
Chronos now has good early game and excellent mid and late game characteristics, he is chosend every game and makes it a less enjoyable experience with his over powered abilities.
S2 change his imbaness please
I like the concept of the ult. I think they could probably create an all new hero based upon this, reminds me of Nerubian Weaver from DotA though :P Regardless, they are already trying to balance Chronos' abilities. I don't think that THESE changes are going to be necessary considering S2 already has some other ideas that they are toying with.
@Foo fighter: can you at least be specific why you dont like the changes or give suggestions?
@alton: if ever s2 would create a new hero based upon this, that will make another "time" hero. chronos should only be the one who can control time.![]()

I'm not saying they control time, I'm saying they have the "replay" functionality :P Weaver was pretty cool in DotA, and seeing a similar skill to your replay design would be pretty cool... of course, now that I think of it, it sounds a lot like Blacksmith's Chaotic Flames, just altered for a different skill set. Damn, guess we're not going to see another hero like that then :P
Yeah i can.
Six consecutive hits on Curse of Ages would make the skill pretty weak in early/mid game. For example you wanna chase someone port to him and it him while he is slowed. In early game you are just not able to land 6 hits while the enemy is slowed.
And in lategame, where the skill is a bit too strong atm it wouldn't make a big difference.
The ult of chronos is kind of unique, the concept is great. Completely removing the "time bubble" would just suck
agreed. the change to rewind make sense. I've played chronos and tanked 2 player without dying and killing them.
I say,
when chronos ults, everyone in his bubble gets silenced (including himself and team mates). so his rewind does not kick in and save his life from outside hitters. It should just mass slow everyone, like it does his allies.
The change to his signature bash skill is overkill. makes it totally useless early game and maybe somewhat viable late game.
Chronos is not an early game hero thats why I focused on him being a mid-late game carry. I changed curse of ages to 6 consecutive hits so that you can steal more agi meaning more DPS, you can use "replay" to attack again to add an extra charge on curse of ages if you want the bash. But in early game, that would be kinda useless, so im focusing on using time leap+replay (300dmg+slow) on early game and normal attack+replay on mid-late game. Making heroes stun on mid game is no problem on chronos since his build is always steamboots+elder parasite, making 6 consecutive hits+replay will be no problem.
"time bubble" is kinda overpowered now, many players are saying that S2 should nerf it, that wouldnt change the fact that chronos will still be a boring hero. Players always use this -> time leap+bubble = kill then run and farm some more. And that my friend is boring, even noobs now are using him and owning. the concept of this remake is to make him more fun to play, a hero that requires skill.
The new ultimate is extremely interesting. Although the nerfs to the other skills might be too much, I'll give it thumbs up for the ult.
Also, the time leap remake makes him an even stronger anti-carry, which is good.
Unfortunately, most people will rage if you suggest to change anything that was in DotA.
