This is something that that I personally have been battling myself over. After a game last night though, I reaffirmed my decision. I really believe that individual teams should have the power to kick their own player, or it goes to majority vote 5/9 or more. We played with a very ignorant person that no one would ever want to play with, his skill was decent, but he held down the push to talk button for the whole match telling the team how noob/mentally disabled they are. Normally I have a thick hide, i muted him, but every time we would vote to kick him, the other team cant hear him so they didn't care and wanted to keep feeding off of him. Is this fair, I could be very one sided, but I think disrespecting others that are on your team or anyone in the game should be kicked, especially when the amount of time he was talking trash to his playing ratio. I never complain about things of this sort, but he went a little too far, and my whole team was upset with him. We just wanted the game to be over and concede, but we couldn't concede because he wouldn't accept, and the other team wouldnt vote to kick. So am I just being over emotional about last night? or is this an issue that needs to be addressed, i'm more than welcome to your feedback and critism, hopefully it's constructive or serious. Agreed... Plus the feeder issue, if someone chooses to feed constantly just to piss people off (and they do) they can ruin a game completely but just constantly running into the other team and feeding gold. The opposing team who will 9/10 be noobs will be happy for an easy win instead of a challenging game. Please allow kick vote to be team oriented.

Yeah, the other team should have no say over what happens on your team.
I never really even understood WHY it took votes from the OTHER team to kick someone.... I mean, if you're trying to votekick a feeder, why would the opposing team want to kick it's food?

I agree team oriented seems best, since the other team may " like " what the player is doing or not understand what the player is doing, i.e , buying 1000 tangos and tunneling to the enemies well...
There is a reason that they never implemented a kick system in Dota.
Any human controlled kick system = fail
Every kick is unjustified no matter how you turn it. And people just press yes just because they can.
Absolutely agree. Kick = same team only. People do intentionally ruin games when they get pissed off and usually the other team just likes to pad their stats rather than vote to kick them.
posted an thread like this earlier today, dropped from the first page but the poll there said 32-3 to make it a team only decision last I checked.

Yes this would be very nice to have, I played a game today was doing very well but my teammates fed. 4-15 and 5-17 There was nothing the other three on our team could really do.
Votekick would be handy.
I completely agree on this one. I've played a lot of games where I get trolls as teammates. They tend to sit still at the fountain and talk trash the whole game and moving only when they are about to be kicked for not going out of the fountain. Of course if you try to vote kick your teammate, the opposing team won't allow that. Everyone likes an easy win. So please, make vote kicking a team only decision just like concede.
The problem i would see with this is that people may vote kick you even though ur not feeding or ruining the game, so i think that you would need to have a specific requirement to be able to be kicked
e.g. A score worse than 0 - 5
That could be abused in many ways. For example, if the kicked player does not have to count the result of the match towards his win/loss stats clans could kick all players (except the last one) on their team just to avoid statlosses for the them. If the result still would count for the kicked player, it just wouldn't be fair for that player in a lot of scenarios.
The better solution is that people try to team up with people that they can rely on. Make more friends, add nice players to you buddylists and invite them into you clan. Can't find enoug people for you 5v5 when you want to play? Then play a 4v4 or 3v3 with the friends you have online instead.
