Tide: Loads of Hope (Donate to Haiti Victims)

Hey guys apparently Tide is matching profits earned from T-shirt sales to donate to Haiti victims! Up to 250,000 dollars!!! What does this mean?

If you want to donate to Haiti victims by buying a $5 T-shirt, tide will match the profits. Meaning they keep how much the T-shirt cost them to make. So maybe $2-3 of what you give to Haiti victims will actually go to Haiti victims. That is, unless Tide receives more than $250,000, in which case they will just keep all of it. Also meaning that Haiti victims will probably not get more than the $250,000 minus production cost of the T-shirts even if Tide earns over a million dollars.

Also, tide isn't donating the money directly to Haiti victims, they're MATCHING their profits and donating that money. This means they can claim a 250,000 dollar tax credit so they don't have to give money to our government.

Loads of Hope? More like loads in my pants.
