Thanks, had the same problem, this fixed it! <3
edit:
There's still some funky behavior if the unit you selected dies, it still is selected and camera stays focused where it died unless you press ESC.
When you press esc to deselect any selected units/buildings when pressing the Attack Target key it still attacks that one.

This porgram makes you auto attack whatever you had last selected and bunch of other retarded things like this, DO NOT USE!
That's correct. cg_cmdrDoubleSelectTime must be set to 0 in order for this mod to work.
Are you saying that when you switch the active unit, it reselects the previous active unit?
Or are you saying that you can't double select to center?
The latter is caused by cg_cmdrDoubleSelectTime being 0. I'll try to find a workaround.
I'll look into it.
Noted.
If the target is inactive, and you open tooltargetingentity (ie. the crosshair cursor), it will try to use the skill on the last target. I am aware of this and am fixing. Is that the error you are talking about?
This mod only makes you attack whatever was last selected when you press the hotkey, so I have no idea what you are saying.
Be more specific, or don't post.
"A bunch of other retarded things, DO NOT USE!" contributes nothing.

When I click on a direct target spell while my last target is dead or in fog,
it tries to select the obviously invalid target a zillion times per second, which results in "invalid target" spam... (you can acually hear how it click, click, clicks ~every 0,5 secs)

It is. I'm not going to deny that it is an advantage.
However, the default interface is highly counter-intuitive; there is no reason why the default interface should deselect your target when it enters fog.
I'd think that a completed mod would be more effective means to suggest an idea than a post in the suggestions forum.

This mod seems like cheating and violating a fun game mechanic. I hope mods that are this powerful get disabled before the game is released.
Still buggy after 1.1 it doesnt always center on your hero after pressing F1 twice, well at least it works now, and the selection sound still keeps on playing![]()
S2 just surrendered to LoL
It won't center on double-tapping when your current target is in FoW and there is still some issue with ESC closing shop or something.
Too bad we are all used to double-tapping a key to center the camera, damn DotA!
The idea regarding having the information still visible but not update is a nice one; however, the one where you'll automatically start to attack them if they re-enter line of sight is pretty much cheating, as it takes away an aspect of skill required to micromanage while going in and out of fog.
Right now, I am aware that f1 double tapping does not center the camera when your target is inactive.
I can either keep it is now, or make it so that if you press the key only once, it will center. (note that this will apply to clicking teammates' icons in the top left also). Which would you prefer?
Sadly, I cannot find I way to preserve the original functionality in which double-selecting, and only double-selecting, centers the camera.
Also, the quickest and easiest way to disable the sound-looping (the clicking) would be to completely disable the sound that plays when you select a unit. Would anyone mind this?
I am aware.
How is a counter-intuitive interface "a fun mechanic"?
Noted. Thanks.
What exactly are "some issues with ESC closing shop"?
The problem is that people don't understand what "skill" is in a strategy game. This game should not be about who can overcome an unintuitive interface better with an unnecessary click-fest. That's not an enjoyable game.
However, a deep, strategic rpg/rts is an enjoyable game.
