Thumbs up A new ward type!

    Target Dummies!
Basic: These are wards similar to scouts wards, they cannot be seen by the enemy team unless they are standing right next to it. They are also similar into Wards of revelation being that they have no sight right except for something immediately over top of them. The trick behind these wards is they can take skill on them, that will reveal them to the enemy team, allowing them to kill the Target Dummie.

    Cast Range: 800
    Duration: 300 seconds
    Cost: 200gold / 2wards stacks
    Shop: Supplies
    Cooldown: 180 seconds between purchase

Example: Jeraziah cannot get close enough to use a heal to damage his enemy, but the enemy is walking past his Skill Ward. He can use his heal on the wards, which will damage the enemies around it, but killing the wards in the process.

    Synergies:
:jera: For landing my heal for damage!
For increasing the damage on my heal!
If they are out of range for my cask, I can target the Target Dummy and hope it will bounce off it and stun the enemy! Or if they are in range, I can get some extra time for my stun by having it bounce off the Target Dummy!
I can gain an extra charge on my stun by having it pass through the Target Dummy!
If they are out of range of my dot, but close by my Target Dummy, I can hopefully cast it on the ward, and land it on the enemy!
If they are out of range for my chain lightning, but close to my Target Dummy, I can hopefully cast it on the ward, and land it on the enemy!
I'm the Blacksmith! Also, if they are out of range for my DOT, but close to a Target Dummy, I can hopefully attack the ward dealing damage and slowing the enemy!
I am out of range to leap the enemy, but the Target Dummy is close by. I can lead the Dummy to hopefully gain ground on my enemy!
Using a Target Dummy I can boost the damage on my ult!
I can bounce my ult off of this Target Dummy, to hit the enemy twice when their are no creeps around, such as if I caught him in the woods!
I can charge these Target Dummy to be able to move where they are placed quickly!
If an enemy is out of range, but close to a Target Dummy, I can throw my stun at the ward with hopes it will stun the enemy as well! Or if a ward is in the middle of two enemies, and I can stun them both by hitting the Target Dummy, rather than hitting just one enemy!
If they are out of range for my auto-attack, but close to my Target Dummy, I can hopefully attack the ward, and damage the enemy!
I could leap to a Target Dummy to close the distance between an out of range enemy and myself, using it for escaping, or to land a cloud.
I can flick towards the Target Dummy, while trying to dodge a spell. If I am also trying to escape, I can cannon ball onto a Target Dummy, and won't receive a stun on myself.
I can throw the Target Dummy if there is no other unit to throw at the enemy!
I can attack the Target Dummy, and have volcanic touch proc off of it!
I can kill a Target Dummy to get souls when there are no creeps around!
I can cast puppet show on an enemy that is close to a Target Dummy, and he will attack the ward, giving my more time to attack him without him escaping!
I can cast Agonizing bonds on the Target Dummy if an enemy is out of range, and pull him closer to the Target Dummy. I can also place a Target dummy in the middle of a group of enemies, and drag them all closer to it with Agonizing bonds!
I can use my ult on a Target Dummy for a quick get away!
I can use my Jolt on a Target Dummy to hit an enemy that is out of range!
I can use my ult and hook the Target Dummy!
If there is no allied/neutral/ or enemy unit nearby, I can turn a Target Dummy into my elemental summons.
I can kill a Target Dummy to gain a cyclone!
:fors: I can kill a Target Dummy to summon a skeleton!
If an enemy is out of range of my ultimate, but close by a Target Dummy, I can cast my ult on the dummy, and then it will jump to the enemy target!
I can cast Terrifying Charge on a Target Dummy to escape, or gain distance on an out of range enemy!

If I forgot any heroes that these could work with, please tell me!

A big thanks to Well_Shebber for the new name of this item! And another big thanks to Faedrik but helping tweak this item so it is more viable!!

Also, it would look similar to one of those target dummys you see everyone in WoW!

I feel for you. This sounds like an idea with a bit of work would be amazing. but i dont think most pub games would ever see it used. t-up from me, goodluck.

Awesome. But as one of the above posters stated earlier, this wouldn't see a lot of use in public games.

But they're highly useful, it's just that the balance in the game may get a bit crazy when they get implemented.

Has anyone thought of a price that would be fitting for this item? Because I am honestly unsure.

    Before you do that...

Make it have a limited HP.

    Why?

Plaguebringer + Skillward right next to the dude = instant kill

Ive seen it happen with a hero in place of the ward

As I stated though, the ward would die with one hit, or with the use of any one skill on it.

Yeah it would have to be a few skill exceptions, I didn't even think about boots of travel.

It would require prior positioning within 300 seconds and could only be used once. If one person teleports, then they are alone. If the whole team teleports, then the opposing deserves it for allowing them all to get Post Haste.

That is a valid point, hmmm. I would really have to see this item tested in game before I can really make a final verdict to be honest.

Also has anyone thought of a price? Because I really have no idea >.<

    Here are my thoughts:

I find this ward to be a real niche miscellaneous item, which i would vote no to unless change to possibly a recipe or something of the sorts. Second, if this remains to be a store bought ward, it would have to be cheap since it is a single use item, so if they were made (lets say 100 gold for a stack of 3), then what would keep someone from using them on enemy neut spawns?

But why would this item need a recipe? It's a basic item. But if it were to cheap people could be just spamming this wards all game, especially if behemoth was on their team.

it would be hard to spam wards in time for behes ult without the other team noticing imo, overall i think its a good concept, and the price i would say, needs to be 300 for a stack of 2.
