    Astral Witch

    Name: Astral Witch
    Allegiance: Legion (story could be modified for Hellbourne)
    Initial Movespeed: 305

    Stats + Growths:
    Strength : 18 (+1.8)
    Agility : 18 (+2.0)
    Intelligence : 22 (+2.6) [PRIMARY]

    Damage: 47 - 50 (25 - 28 +22 initial Intelligence)
    Armor: 1.89 (-0.68 + 2.57 initial Agility)
    Attack Range: 450
    Health: 472 (130 + 342 intial Strength)
    Mana: 336 (50 + 286 initial Intelligence)

    Attack Animation:
    Swings her broom towards the target and a small purple orb (Brighter towards the outer edge) shoots towards the target. Trails purple sparkles.

    Death Animation:
    Very briefly appears to Astral Slide in various directions before dissipating in a purple haze.

    Story:
    A timeless being from beyond Newerth, the Astral Witch uses her unique abilities to travel all of existence.
    Upon arriving in Newerth, she became fascinated by the sibling leaders of the New Legion.
    She now fights by their sides, ensuring the safety of her interests.

    Role:
    The Astral Witch is designed as a semi-carry/anti carry.
    She comes equipped with disables and burst damage, and her Astral Anchor allows her to steal attack speed from an enemy carry.

    Voices:

    Pros and Cons:
    -Pros-
    - Diverse skill set allows for several play styles
    - Excellent combos alone and with teammates
    - Good base movespeed and damage
    - Skills require timing to master

    -Cons-
    - Skills require timing to master
    - Squishy
    - Likely to be focused early on
    - Sub par escape mechanism


    Skill 1:

    Negazone [Q]: The Witch projects a negative zone going out from her in the target direction. (Like using Devourer's hook or Valk's javelin.)

    Type: Targeted Aoe
    Range: 700
    Aoe: 700x400 (Attempted to do a little ascii art example but couldn't get it to work. Basically it starts at you, then cones out.
    At 350 units away it reaches max width and starts to cone back in. At 700 the two edges touch again. Basically like this.)

    Appearance: Purplish ooze or static upon the ground.
    When destroyed with Astral Slide, it explodes upwards in a brief flash of purple light.

    Effect: Enemies caught within the formation of the zone are jolted by its energy stunning them for .25 seconds.
    If an enemy touches the zone they are slowed until exiting the zone, or until it dissipates or is destroyed.

    Level 1 - 20% slow for 5 seconds.
    Level 2 - 30% slow for 5 seconds.
    Level 3 - 40% slow for 5 seconds.
    Level 4 - 50% slow for 5 seconds.

    Duration: 5 seconds at all levels.
    Mana Cost: 150 at all levels.
    Cooldown: 15 seconds at all levels.

    Balance: While it does cover a large area it requires specific positioning to be effective. Slows for a good amount, but only within the effected area.
    Semi long cooldown and semi high mana cost offset it's use when paired with Astral Slide.
    Skill 2:


    Astral Anchor [W]: The Witch creates a link between herself and target enemy. This link saps the enemies attack speed and grants it to the Witch.

    Type: Targeted
    Cast Range: 600
    Break Range: 900

    Appearance: A purple winding beam connects the Witch and her target.
    When snapped by Astral Slide, the beam should visibly shatter.

    Effect: Takes away from the targets attack speed and adds it to the Witch's attack speed.

    Level 1 - Drains 20% of the targets attack speed and grants it to the Witch.
    Level 2 - Drains 30% of the targets attack speed and grants it to the Witch.
    Level 3 - Drains 40% of the targets attack speed and grants it to the Witch.
    Level 4 - Drains 50% of the targets attack speed and grants it to the Witch.

    Duration: 6 seconds at all levels.
    Mana Cost: 110/120/130/140
    Cooldown: 17 seconds at all levels.

    Balance: Though it doesn't make the Witch exceptionally strong it does create a good difference between her and her target.
    This is offset by the longish cooldown (Unlikely to be used multiple times a fight) and by the fact that it is also her only reliable disable (through Astral Slide).
    It can also be broken by moving out of the 900 range without any penalty.
    Skill 3:


    Projection [E]: The Witch astrally projects negative energy into her enemies with each attack.

    Type: Toggled Arrow Effect

    Appearance: Should make her regular attack animation larger and perhaps have her broom glow purple.
    When caused by Astral Slide, the animation should be shot at all targets within the aoe.

    Effect: Puts a stacking dot on the target.

    Max of 3 stacks at all levels!

    Level 1 - Deals 10 damage each second for 2 seconds.
    Level 2 - Deals 15 damage each second for 2 seconds.
    Level 3 - Deals 20 damage each second for 2 seconds.
    Level 4 - Deals 25 damage each second for 2 seconds.

    Mana Cost: 10/20/30/40

    Balance: Though it does very good damage the timer is short so it will be difficult to stack it early game. The mana cost is also pretty high for a toggled ability.
    Ultimate:


    Astral Slide [R]: Using her power over space the Witch can project her body forward, sliding through reality.

    Type: Activated

    Appearance: Should fade her slightly and give her a purple aura while she flashes forward.

    Effect: Allows the Witch to blink forward 200 units (This is automatically in the directions she is facing, not targeted).
    Charges can be stored for this ability (Like Panda's first skill) so that it can be used in rapid conjunction.
    Astral Slide causes an additional effect from the rest of her skills.

    You may only use Astral Slide when you have a Slide counter. It takes 6 seconds from the last time you used Astral Slide to generate a new slide counter.

    Level 1 - May store 1 Slide counter.
    Level 2 - May store 2 Slide counters.
    Level 3 - May store 3 Slide counters.

    Passive Ability - The Astral Witch's Movespeed is increased by 5/10/15% for 5 seconds after using Astral Slide (effect does not stack).

    Mana Cost: 80/90/100

    Negazone Combo: Sliding into or while in a Negazone causes the zone to erupt. This releases all targets from the slow effect, but deals 300/350/400 damage to all enemies in the zone.

    Astral Anchor Combo: Sliding while Astral Anchor is in effect will snap the Anchor. This will stun the Anchored unit for 1/2/3 seconds.

    Projection Combo: When you Slide upon appearing you release a projection attack at all targets within a 300/400/500 range. Damage is based off the level of Projection.

    Balance: Charge timer effectively makes this a 600 ranged blink at max level with max counters. This is not an effective escape mechanism.
    Using all the charges costs 300 mana. While it can combo with her other skills none of the effects are over powered.
    Requires timing and positioning to execute perfect combos.
    Synergy:

    Negazone + Astral Anchor = Slow the enemy keeping them from running away and breaking the Anchor.

    Astral Anchor + Projection = Steal the enemies attack speed and rapidly stack projection.

    Negazone + Projection = Keeps the enemy from running out of range, which allows you to reliably stack your dot.

    Astral Slide + Any = Timing is key here, you want to gain the full effect of each skill, but you don't want an enemy to get out of range of the NegaZone or move far enough away to break the Anchor. Correct positioning is vital when comboing with Projection so that you can get 3 stacks on an entire group.

    Negazone and Astral Slide are imo the building stones of this hero, while I would personally like to see Astral Anchor and Projection changed into something more interesting, they really stand out with the ulti combo, despite how forced the synergy may feel ^^;

    Is the Projection Combo effect really nessecary? I understand if you want to open up for more creeping viability, but to my understanding you wont really be able to take advantage of it on heroes. I would rather see it aid in single target dps so that it synergises better with the rest of the aresenal.

    I'm voting yes because the concept brings a lot of personality.

    Seriously, does an undead witch with a rotten body really needs to be sexy? Come on...


    I loved the sinergy, I won't even comment. It seems perfect. My only doubt is about ultimate's cooldown.

    I see what you mean. Honestly, I'm not really sure what to do about it. I'm completely open for suggestions though.

    Edit: Actually now that I think about it, the projection combo is there purely to keep stacks on your target while you're performing the rest of the combo. I just made it aoe to help with farming and give her a slight damage boost. I'm afraid if i changed it to be more single target she might be a little op.

    Do you understand how much range 200 is?

    Mage = = = = = = = = = = = o Flash
    TB = = = = = = = o range of Thunderbold
    Andro = = = = = = o range of Comet
    MQ = = =o range of autoattack
    AW = = o range of slide

    IMO, either cooldown drastically less, or amount of charges drastically up, or distance increase.

    I understand that it's short range (though by using the examples your giving the 3 charges used together would be 600 range.) but it's not supposed to be used as an escape mechanism or chasing mechanism(at least not primarily).

    It's used for the combos, so increasing the range on it can actually make it harder to aim correctly.

    However, think of it like this, it can still be used to blink up cliffs or into trees to get away. And you can actually disjoint 3 separate nukes in rapid succession. How's that for defense?

    Anyways, the point is, it's short because she's not meant to be a huge chaser. But decreasing the cd might make it a little op. (though I'll consider it.)

    I have to hand it too u man, very good job, i like all she does, her ult could probably go 2-3-4 counters, or let her get counters faster than 10 seconds, cause i don't think it will have much presence. But good job m an

    I've dropped the charge time on Astral Slide counters to 6 seconds, which means it takes a total of 18 seconds to get 3 charges instead of 30. Seems like a bit of an improvement. I'd prefer to not increase the number of charges or else it might get to useful for disjointing.
