The Bounty Hunter, a slightly altered Batrider port
Bounty Hunter Intelligence Hero
Backstory:
A shady character who frequents the worlds of justice and organized crime alike, willing to do the dirty work of the faint of heart -- as long as the price is right. A seasoned killer and kidnapper, there are few who can escape his quick and unorthodox tactics, and even fewer who can catch him. As the war between the Legion and the Hellbourne escalates, the Bounty Hunter's loyalty and skill will soon be up for the highest bidder.
Stats
Strength: 23 + 2.0 per level
Agility: 15 + 1.5 per level
Intelligence: 24 + 2.5 per level
Base damage: 48 - 52
Base armor: 3.1
Movespeed: 290
Attack range: 375
Neurotoxin
The Bounty Hunter sprays an area with a simple, homebrewed neurotoxin. The toxin slows the reaction time of the victim and increases its sense of pain, amplifying the damage done by the Hunter's attack and abilities. The effect lasts 7 seconds, and the damage amplification stacks.
Level 1-- 10 bonus damage per stack. 5% MS slow.
Level 2-- 15 bonus damage per stack. 7% MS slow.
Level 3-- 20 bonus damage per stack. 10% MS slow
Level 4-- 30 bonus damage per stack. 12% MS slow.
Cast range: 700
Area of effect: 375
Cooldown: 3 seconds
Manacost: 20
Notes:
-The spray takes the same time to arrive at the target location regardless of the distance.
Bolos
The Bounty Hunter tosses a set of heavy, sand-filed balls tied together by thick ropes. On impact with an enemy, the bolos will wrap around it, stunning it for 1 second, and pushing it 200 distance in the direction the bolos were thrown from over that time. They will also strike any enemies within 300 radius of the impact, pushing them to 400 units away from it. All affected enemies are dealt damage.
Level 1-- 75 damage
Level 2-- 150 damage
Level 3-- 225 damage
Level 4-- 300 damage
Cast range: 1500
Cooldown: 11 seconds
Manacost: 80/100/120/140
Notes:
-The projectile will travel toward the targeted point and not track a unit (think Valkyrie's spear or Devourer's hook).
-Damage type is magical.
-Gains bonus damage from Neurotoxin stacks.
Escape Artist
Years of experience have taught the Bounty Hunter that the best way to cover your tracks is with spikes. While using this ability, the Hunter is able to jump over units, run across cliffs, and cut down trees in front of him with his machete. He also drops a trail 200 distance wide of spiked bundles behind him. Any enemy units that come into contact with the trail will take damage over time.
Level 1-- 20 DPS
Level 2-- 40 DPS
Level 3-- 60 DPS
Level 4-- 80 DPS
Area of effect: 200
Cooldown: 40 seconds
Manacost: 100
Notes:
-This skill basically lets you unitwalk, cliffwalk, and clear a path through trees. The jumping would occur in increments of 400 units at a speed equal to that of the Bounty Hunter's current MS, and not offer any immunities of any kind (so it would only be an animation for the unitwalking, not an actual leap ability).
-Repeated slashing forward with a machete would only be an animation for cutting a path through trees.
-Damage type is magical.
-Spikes deal bonus DPS from Neurotoxin stacks.
Gotcha!
The Bounty Hunter never loses his prey, even if it means dragging it back kicking and screaming. The Hunter catches a target with his lasso and is able to drag it around behind him.
Level 1-- Drags the target for 3 seconds.
Level 2-- Drags the target for 3.5 seconds.
Level 3-- Drags the target for 4 seconds.
Cast range: 175
Cooldown: 90/70/50
Manacost: 150
Notes:
-Killing the Bounty Hunter will release the target.
-If the distance between the target and the Bounty Hunter forcibly becomes more than 400 distance (Andromeda swap, teleporting across the map, Devourer hook, etc) the lasso will break.
-Superior magic type.
Alright, I welcome any constructive criticism, from spelling mistakes to number mistakes to balance problems. The stats and most of the numbers involved in the skills are exactly the same as Batrider's from DotA, so they may need some tweaking. I take no credit for nor do I own any part of the image I uploaded.
Seems like it could work for sure, loved bat rider in dota. But the thing is.. HoN has deadwood, this hero just seems like a gimped version of him. Even though deadwood is godly right now and will probably get nerfed, I can't see them adding a hero so similar to deadwood any time soon.. Great concept art btw.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I only see a similarity to Deadwood in the Escape Artist ability. And I don't think he's gimped compared to Deadwood, because the trails of DPS that skill lays, combined with a dragging ult and an AoE stackable damage buff give him much more potential to deal damage to a whole team as well as isolate a single target.
P.S. I'm thinking about changing this hero's name to Headhunter, so as to distance it from DotA's Bounty Hunter and avoid the abbreviation BH, which is already used for Bloodhunter. Any thoughts?
