alright, we all know how pestilence hurts when he ults and bashes ppl to death... well, this guy loves bash so much that he thought brutaliser was a must on him

You make it sound like Brutalizer's effect is useless in a "doesn't work on him" way. It actually gives a substantial boost to his chance to bash.

Habile. Go back and read the tooltip for Bashing Properties. "Items and abilities with bashing properties share a cooldown time". Person is so stupid for buying brutalizer on pest. For 1300g more you could have Shield Breaker, an absolutely amazing item on Pest.

It increases pestilences chance to bash from 25 to about 42% (if it uses a diminishing return effect otherwise it puts the chance to 50%) Sure theyll be in cooldown at the same time, but the chance to initially proc will be higher. Its a terrible item both on pest and in general but its not 100% useless

But then again, you're not typically auto-attacking with Thunderbringer either. Also, he's just saying that the EFFECT isn't 100% useless, which is not necessarily common knowledge, as shown in this thread.

By the way, what does 100% useless mean to you, anyway? As far as I'm aware, no item is. Even Runed Axes on ranged heroes give damage and regen.

I actually rush Shieldbreaker myself on Pestilence, though I certainly don't consider it the best build for him, nor do I consider Brutalizer a worthwhile purchase when playing him. But hey, he ended up building Brutalizer because that's what he wanted. There are competitive players out there that scoff at the idea of Shieldbreaker on Pest. If you want the best bang for your buck, then Insanitarius is probably your best bet.

Why laugh at someone else for trying something different, though? I find the more peculiar builds to be the most interesting part of the game.
