Here's a rough update to make this work with FE2:

The sounds play, but you won't be able to access the options unless you use the old-style options panel from the F10 menu in-game.
If Ignorance is okay with it, I will make a proper update when I have a bit more time that uses the mod options framework and stuff.

I think Ignorance won't be updating these mods anymore from what he told me on IRC. He's very busy with school.

just to clarify:
the version that taion posted is still working for me.
the only annoyances are
- that it plays the lobby full sound on hon startup
- that you can only change the sounds either through your startup.cfg or your ingame f10-options
Should be one when your inventory is full.
