    [Map]Enfos Team Survival beta v1.019

    Please, vote for this map on Dream if you like it.


    The map is an Enfos map. Enfos is a kind of map that first started in War3, you can see a video on youtube here (no its not me playing). I must warn you, its hard, I don't even know if you can win it with the actual hero.


    Map status:

    Minor update v1.019 (18/07/2011):

    • Fixed a bug where waves wouldn't spawn.
    • Removed new heroes from the picking screen.


    Update v1.018 info (01/02/2011):

    • Map version will now follow the Dream version system. So we jump from 1.0 to 1.018.
    • There is now a cooldown of 20sec on creeps' stuns.
    • Attack speed reduction has be lowered from creeps' poison.
    • Removed some unused files from the archive, this will only reduce the file size.
    • Fixed various spell effects that were missing.
    • Removed attack effect from Holy Warrior (Jereziah) since it was pretty much only confusing
    • Fixed Holy Warrior's (Jereziah) taunt, since it was not working at all.
    • Added a new string table system. This should fix the issue of missing/wrong names loading in others map after playing this one.
    • Added a new strength hero: Ahlen (Blood Hunter).
    • Added a new intelligence hero: Arcane Mistress (Female Glacius)
    • Increased the movement speed limit from 522 to 800.


    Older change log:

    Update v1.0 info (30/12/2010):

    • New terrain, props, textures and cliffs! (Thanks to Amuse)
    • Max level is now set to 200.
    • Removed Pyromancer (I might add it back later).
    • Added 3 new heroes. (Thanks to Amuse)
    • You should now only see the custom hero in the hero selection screen.
    • Fixed Bloodthrist not working.
    • Fixed max lives being only 5, its now back to 100.
    • Creeps will now try to unstuck every 3 sec.
    • Cost of items are reduced, the recipe system is no longer used (Thanks to Amuse)
    • Removed the shops icons, you still can shop from anywhere.
    • Changed the color of the base circle to red, since Dream doesn't support custom TGA.
    • Removed the gain of attributes for each kill.


    Update v0.04 info (03/12/2010):

    • Added the Hellbourne lane.
    • Team detection that spawn units on sides with heroes, that means you should be able to play against other player when multiplayer support comes out but you still can play it solo.
    • Fixed some string definition since it got broken in some patch.
    • Buyback cost is set to 350000 gold. This is a way to prevent buy back abuse since I can't disable it.
    • Removed passive visual effect on wave3 to try to reduce the lag.


    Update v0.03b info (21/07/2010):

    • Fixed Pyromancer first spell.

    Update v0.03 info (10/06/2010):

    • New shop selling defensive items.
    • New hero based on the Mentalist (Magebane) - unbalanced.
    • New hero based on the Magic Infuser (Blacksmith) - unbalanced.
    • Easier "install" process.
    • No more need to delete the files if you want to play official match.
    • Support for a creep limit (disabled for now since its too hard).

    Special weapon shop is still missing.
    Its so unbalanced.
    There is no spellbringer.
    Multiplayer support should work, but since I can't try it its only a guess.

    How to install:

    Put the file (link at the end of this post) into the /game/maps folder of your Heroes of Newerth folder.

    How to play:

    Host a new game in practice mod with the map.
    Leave the game and rehost a second time (this is to prevent some issue caused by the K2Engine).
    Choose either team and start the game.
    You can select any hero that is showed up in the selection hero. Watch out, newer hero added by S2 will still show up, so don't select those.
    When you get in-game by some mana potion or health potion from the shop and go fight monsters that will spawn from top.
    If a monster get to your main base you will loose a chance. You can loose a total of 100 chances.
    If you die you will spawn back at your main base.

    For those who wonder, you can customize this map to your liking and even make your own Enfos with it if you want. You can even create your own heroes to add it to the map resources.

    Special thanks to the map creator of Enfo's Team Survival 2007 and Enfo's Team Survival MT Edition that I ripped of to make the units and items.

    That was enjoyable. By no means a demonstration of the true power of the game, but it was nonetheless different and entertaining. I look forward to seeing this map completed.

    Wow, simply amazing! I LOVE Enfos! I just tried it, even though it's literally impossible, it's HELLA fun! XDD. Just wondering, if you're planning on developing this further, I'd like to help in any way! Just send me a PM! Good luck!!

    No off course it doesn't show the true power of the game at all, but I wanted to show people that even without the SDK or the editor, we can do already that much and even more if we work a bit.

    I like.

    I noticed that the creeps never drop aggro, so you are able to 'win' by kiting both lanes around the entire map.

    By 'win' I mean get enough gold to deck your little pyro out enough to afk autoattack at the tree :P

    Maybe the creeps should drop aggro after a few seconds like in HoN?

    I appreciate you offer to help. What I am looking for now is someone to make the map look good. So I need someone who could use the editor to add some textures and foliages.

    But first I'll finish the map if someone is interested in doing it so that they can work on a final version of the terrain (I'll add the other side too).

    After I'll have finished porting the units to my map I will need more help on other stuff like: creating ballanced hero, map balancing, testing, advertisement, visual enhancement (custom effects, models, textures, etc.) and more. Porting units will take me some time, for the next 3 weeks I will not have lots of time to work on it because of school but after that I start my internship so I will have more time to work on it.

    Nice thing to point out. The map is currently missing one rule from Enfos: if you have more than 150 unit in your zone, a random unit is removed from game and you loose a chance. The fact that its only 7 waves also help since you can afford to loose lots of life at the start.

    The game is missing spellbringers too that are used to cast defensive/offensive spells.

    Please keep the comments coming it really helps.

    Hmmm Oloko I guess its time to realse my map. Even though theres still a bunch of bugs. Also seeing as how I havn't been working on it no?

    Well this is kind of off topic and I don't think its the right place to talk about it, but if I remember well enough I gave you the actual map and an upgraded version of the already released TD scripts I posted a while ago on the forum. So I don't know if you added anything to what I gave you, if you haven't added a thing then don't release it since I don't think you will ever finish it.

    Anyway if you want to talk about it, send me a message on steam.

    Sweet. I'm not that very great at map making, but I like to port some units/heroes. I recently started porting Uther, the Weaponsmith for the fun of it. I'll let you know how it turns out!

    Played as Lego, got past the invis guys but I had to spam potions for the melees they hit pretty rough.

    Well its only Pyromancer that was ported to be played on this map so other heroes will be a lot stronger at start than Pyromancer.
    About the invis guys they should be cursing you but its broken for now. You should have 33% miss chances when you get cursed, so it should be a lot harder for str/agy heroes on this wave and easier for caster if you put wards.

    Yay! I <3 I remember playing this on Warcraft and how much I enjoyed it! This was as fun as my first time on the original, the thing that I had a problem with is that once I had it installed played it, quit HoN, started it up, and played a game online, it still had the same shop info as Enfos map, which really screwed up my game, but as for the map its self much enjoyed, if I could contribute textures for the map just let me know! GJ looking forward to future releases!

    Make sure you delete the resources1.s2z when you want to play a regular game.

    PS: I'm almost done porting Uther, just need to do Forge and find out where to put Cambrinth Charge. :|

    For the textures I don't have an idea how the map should look like (I got no artistic talent as you can see ) so I need someone who can use the already existing or custom made textures to give a nice look to the map so if your up to it that would be awesome.

    Hmm I'll soon try to remove the shared glyph ability so that may be a solution for you if it works. I currently use it for the life system so that it could be seen by everyone but if there is no other alternative to add another ability then I will try to remove it.

    This has real potential, I like how you converted Pyromancer's abilties (that chain fira looks pretty awesome) seems like his ult, just many many times
    The layout looks well, apart from the all grass for textures (I understand it's "alpha" though)
    Instead of having that structure as an end point, is is possible to have a player aura (like an empty circle)
    I'm also in real liking of the night, and its effect on gameplay
    Hope is works out

    Custom maps like this are the reason why i bought the game. I hope we will get proper support for custom maps/mods ...

    Good job on this map, at least someone started doing something
