I played Darkfall awhile back and it sucked. The Melee took no skill and to be successful you had to dump all your time into grinding skills (Aventurine said no grind lol).
Not much to say about this hunk of junk that took so many years to complete. What says you, Off topic?
Have you ever played this game? Did you ever hear about it? Do you still play it?
Also, another question. Savage 2 combat has quite a bit of depth and skill towards it (MMO players don't understand skill is player relative, not catagories of mining and sword hitting). The main reason for the success of Savage 2s combat (not the game, unfortunately, it was a very very very quality game) was because people DIED FAST. The question here, where is the skill in darkfall?

Sigh, Darkfall nerds think that sprint around slashing eachother with polearms taking centuries to kill people is skill. SIGH

I currently play darkfall and i love it, i dont find it a grind, the combat is fun.
Nothing beats me and my friends having skirmishes with others, the risk reward concept of the game is win.
followed darkfall for years, but then i got into beta. was never more disappointed or let down in years
I think the biggest problem with Darkfall is wards. They don't have a counter and they make the game boring. They should remove them from the game.

Oh god, can't wait for raw to come in here and just start going off about how we're casuals and the game is "too hard" for us to even comprehend.
I played DF beta and i played retail, i hate the grinding of spells/skills before you can actually do stuff. And the combat was a ticklefest compared to Sav.

Ugh, the only thing worse than darkfall is how long it takes for your thread to be posted after you type it up.
Im pretty sure raw has ragequitted these forums by now.

Some "renowned gaming journalist" who refused to show any of his journalistic works other than one or two small pieces on some shitty Darkfall community page. Also claims to hate every single person on these forums, and that he's vastly superior in every way to all of us because he's just that much smarter and he plays DF. It was ****ing hilarious to watch him post time and time again these uneducated super biased posts about how ANYTHING other than Darkfall was for bad gamers and people who sucked and failed at life, and how Darkfall is the endall be all of gaming.
I wouldn't be surprised, almost everyone he came across gave him hostility because he's such an incredible prick. He should have been in with JAC though, to keep with their style.
never played it, but the screenshots looks like they tried too hard... everything looks clunky and mixmatched... not that that matters to gameplay but ima take all your words for it....
sadly, the n64 graphics are the crowning achievement of the game. theyre probably its best quality
