Invite friend to take leavers spot

    Simple Suggestion

If you have a person leave your game, you can sub someone else in, only from your mutual friends list.

    Limited to friends only.

    Edit:

I believe the player filling the spot should get +0/-0 PSR regardless, but maybe a trophey (when the awards come out) for helping a team win.

The way i imagine it working, is there will a highest +/- PSR and a lowest +/- PSR, and anyone within this range could fill the spot from the leaver

This is a good idea. Because on countless levels I have faced a team of 5 with just 3.. and it takes a high level of concentration to get them -_-.

You should make this an host only ability.. Like modern warfare 2. if one leaves throughout a game.. anyone searching can join if selected on. I reckon this would be great.

    Simple suggestion, complex implementation.

There's a lot to take into account for a suggestion like this such as PSR calculations, possible exploitation and fairness for both teams.

Sounds difficult to implement, but yeah that'd be pretty cool to have.

Although maybe keep it out of matchmaking. Save it for public games.

If S2 can do this, that'd be so totally awesome.

So many times someone discons and that game just ends because of it.
If you liked Hero 2 - Necromancer from the Intelligence-Ganker contest, I have finally published him in DREAM.

Edit: Found a big problem. What happens if you invite a stronger/weaker player then the original. I have to take my "YES" back. I think it would be better if a random player of the same PSR would be able to join the game.

Should be limited to the same PSR as the disconnected one.
    My suggestions to

Change Teamcolor (depending on what team you are on)

    and

Remake for the team only if someone disconnects.

    good idea!

and for the PSR problem.. if its too hard to recalculate (or maybe not wanted), the invited "standin" could play for +0/-0. In the end it's to help friends out plus have ppl not sit out a ruined game. I'd stand in anytime for my peepz!

You seem not to understand the problem izzmad. If my team is 1500 and 1 leaves i maybe invite a 2000 player and win the game. For the opposing team, that would suck so hard i can't even describe Also if you invite a total noob your team would have no chance to "not play" with him because they are already in the game. Automatically filling up with same PSR seems to be the only way.

I'd have to disagree with this suggestion, it was nice at first then I thought about it a little more, and i'm sure its been mentioned already but...
If you were in a 1500+ game and someone invited their "friend" in, who was 1300 or something, it would completely ruin a game.

And vise versa. What if you yourself were a terrible player(just hypothetical) and you played only X<1300 games and you had a leaver against you, hurray you basically win!

    /invite 1700+ player

    gg you're done son

I like it alot, but it's a solution that sorta skips the problem that people should be remaking those damn games, and if it means we wait and miss out on the remake and they don't join then there's many tears. I vote improve the Remaking system.

edit: but its good. i like it. like yoship1 said limit the range of psr from the player that left or something, but the remaking needs to be addressed as well.

    Exactly what Rinsaku said.

You can prep a game with 1300 accounts, ab and then disconnect, then you get to invite your 1700 buddy and win. (the 1700 would get Kills so he'd be winning something too)

Of course it would happen less at release, but would happen still (people have money you know).

It's an interesting idea, but as others have said the implementation would be complex. One way to limit possible exploitation would be to have everyone vote as to whether a substitute player would be allowed in, thus everyone gets a say in the matter.

Go play nostats if you're afraid to lose your PSR over a leaver

I will quote myself here, because I'm awesome ^^

Maybe highlight the friends in friends list who fits to take the place with green color or something like that? That way it will be easier to spot who can be invited.

Yay for "lets get a 1800 player, we need to win this"

    Not.

    Haters gonna hate.

Honestly, if the implement the freind invite, which we agree would be difficult, having highest and lowest PSR allowed to join the game would be a cake walk. Ya'll haters gotta relax.
