A simple item that gives conceals the appearance of the wearer. It's rumored to be magical.
Nondescript Cloak - 350g
-Consumable and transferable.
-Changes the player model to a generic player model.
-"Cloaked Figure" replaces the name, hero, and level information.
-The user has a red/green minimap icon.
-True Sight reveals the identify of the wearer.
-The effect ends after 20 seconds or 250 damage.
Basically, a consumable item that conceals the identity of the user until 20 seconds or 250 damage. Any kind of magic immunity would break the effect. Enemies can see through the effect with True Sight, or figure it out by recognizing ability effects... if you see Pheonix Wave, you know it's Pyro. Animations could be generic or remain the same, generic would be easier. Auto-attack projectiles (if applicable) would remain the same.
Too expensive.
Unfortunately I don't think this will have any use for high-level play because you can't really expect the enemy team to be stupid enough to fall for a trick like this. I could see an entire team using these for the lulz though.
The problem also lies within the cost vs. value. Tricking people with illusions is one thing, but that requires micromanagement and it's free so it's a well-balanced thing to do. Going a few hundred gold out of your way for something like this seems not only pointless, but it will cripple what items you can get.
raise the cost, give it a mana cost, and make it a clicky item like ghost marchers and it'd be more usefull :>
Damage limit makes it useless, remove it.
This is a hard item to use, because it requires a whole team, but it would be usefull on mid-late game tension before battle.
People REALLY shouldn't vote no because of the price. IT CAN BE CHANGED, vote on concept!
