not a rage thread, been playing hon for ages now and every now and then someone will tell me about LoL so i decided to give it a go, ive only played 5 games but ill outline the game as i see it, to me, its just HoN for kids, its alot more flashy and tbh alot more easy, the items seem a little to silly and some heros just are better than others in the sense that you can play like a pro it doesnt mean anything.
i know im only 5 games in, but its pretty clear how the game is played, most abiltys have some circle thing and u cant miss at all, some of the heros spells are just stupid like a global slow, in my first game i went 13-6 second i went 11-1 in 5 games ive lost only 1 and as much as i am new to lol it was becuase of idiouts on my team.
The no deny thing bugs me, theres no skill in auto attacking for gold, since any hero in LoL hits a minion for like 25% health last hitting is a joke.
im still reading up on the game but from what i understand they want you to buy heros or spend hours getting points to buy them, this doesnt really bother me but i can see how it would to others, if u have mommy's credit card acsess then you get everything while the bum sitting at home ( me ) has to work for it.
Enuff with the negative, what i think is great in LoL is the fun aspect, HoN really is a fun game, But LoL is just that, a Lol. the heros are cooky and the spells are funny to see, in my first game i saw that little girl running around so i had to try and decapitate her, ( obviosly ) she burnt my dudes head off with some massive teddy thing i was loling.
The other great thing in lol ( bare in mind i might have gotten a lucky 5 games ) is that people dont take themselves to seriosly, when i first joined a game i said i was new and if i had a question people would help me, in this game all you want to do is feed off the noob and win, i know, cus i do that myself.
All things told i think if i wanted a serios game that is alot more balenced and fair, id play HoN. If i just want to chill and have some lols id play LoL.
Just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

I tried LoL for one game:
I picked their Hellbringer (who summons her teddy bear....), I cast my ult in a team fight and then tried to micro the "bear" to attack the guy attacking my while I juked, apparently the micro is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and that isn't possible. I died. i was annoyed.
TL;DR - LoL is Fisher-Price DotA while HoN is 1080p DotA

1 of them is a global slow - cardmaster, and it synergies with his gate / playstyle.some of the heros spells are just stupid like a global slow

the micro in LoL is infinitely better...
you hold alt and you're controlling the bear, let go of alt and you control your hero.
and if you control multiple units?

Proud to be the first person to officially purchase Heroes of Newerth
if they ever need to let you control multiple units, they will add a system, there is no possible way to have more than 1 summon atm.

So I hit 1, and I'm controlling whatever I want to be controlling, then I hit 2, and then I'm controlling my second group, right? Now I hit F1 and I'm controlling my hero again.

you can use a modifier key, and easily control your summon and hero at the same time, instead of playing dance dance revolution with your number keys.

people who think HoN is unbalanced should go play LoL its almost laughable.
its slow, super noob friendly, super easy to own, 99% of games are decided in the first 5 minutes, items are so stupidly powerful there is almost no possible way to come from behind, almost impossible to miss a skill, no death penalty (makes the champs who can run in do massive spike damage uber strong coz they can just go get a kill or 2 with no fear), it looks like it was designed by a 10 year old, the champions look like they were drawn in paint and then crudely cut and pasted..... im sure i missed a lot
i wanted to try it out but then i saw the trailer
it showed this small girl holding a teddy bear
then it turned me off
