    Swiftblade solo mid?

Is this viable? I'm thinking of taking him mid with a hatchet, shield, and tangos, with a courier from someone else and getting bottle - phase boots/iron shield and then SnY? (frostburn). His ult gives him basically rune monopoly, and his spin lets him push the lane for the runes/get CS/harass the enemy if he comes too close. Is he viable?

i think ... no he isn't because he'd get nuked out of the lane

Any nuker can abuse the hell out of him, especially with that ridge and fog of war issues.

Against another melee, maybe. Against a ranged, no.
Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.

if they both have hatchets, bh isn't going to be out-lasthitting swift.

    Q.Q
(question mark was just for the bh one, could be v. Deadwood or Pebbles, idk)

well, i can outlane a ranged as pharaoh pretty easily - shouldn't swiftblade be even easier? true, he doesnt have reliable harass with missile (his is a lot more placement dependent), but still

harass will pwn swiftbalde, anyone playing pharaoh can solo lane, like pebbles and deadwood.

if bh can somehow harass swift, he wins because swift can't harass bh (feast ftw much?)

Swiftblade is very bad for middle. He has of the lowest base damages in the game(I think he is the weakest melee attacker and is lower than many ranged) and his spin is limited by the short length of the lane.

Swift literally doesn't have anything going for him that would make him a good mid. It's a waste of his earlygame power because it'll be a lot harder for him to get kills as a solo than in a lane with a proper babysitter.

BH would have to watch out for not falling prey to a spin early on, because that could drop him low enough to give swift a monopoly on last hits and denies. If Swift can't get a good spin off, he's dead in mid against a melee.

Against ranged heroes, I don't even know why you would force this matchup.

Swift mid is... a pretty bad idea to be honest.

Can work if you manage to farm a lifetube fast, before you spend all your tangos

why put one of the strongest side laners in mid?
