How to watch replays

i downloaded a beta replay, put it in my replays folder, open HoN, and the replay is there, but i cant watch it, it doesnt give me info of the game, nothing. What am i doing wrong?

hmm, i think i do something wrong here
From the site, i download replays.
They come to my PC as zip folders --> i unzip, it creates a folder "MXXXX" whatever the match ID. Zip contains "replaydata" and "replayinfo" files

What should i copy to My Documents\Heroes of Newerth\game\replays ??

I tried :
- Folder as such
- Files only
- Renamed files to match the Mxxxx id

nothing works, in the game, i only see my local replays list ;(

Ihave exactly the same prob and Ive tried a couple of things. I renamed the replay files to the downloaded folders name. I can see it in game under that name....but it gives me no game info and I cant watch it. Please help!

When i put the command g_camdistancemax 2000 (or other value) i get the message "g_camdistancemax is a - read only value".

Why is that ? how do i fix this ? yesterday i put the command and it was working fine... help please

same here, can't watch old replays it says "calculating download" then i get some lag and nothing happens.

how come I cant watch replays in my normal resolution? 1680x1050


when I start a replay the screen starts to blink and the camera lags til I move the camera to out in the toplane jungle where the lag stops. The only resolution that works for me to watch replays is 1280x1024, would be great if I could get a answer to what might be wrong here

I cant see Devo hooks or other moving animations like that when I watch a replay. Any way to fix that?

Watch the loading screen after character selection.

Would any1 can explain for me why I cannot watch offline after after downloading from the forum ? I did not see the "view replay" button but " compatize" button. There was nothing happen when i click on it.

The lack of answers in this thread is disturbing. I got my first annihilation a couple games ago and now I want to put together a highlight reel. I can view the replay within the HON application (I'm running Mac OSX by the way) after clicking "Download Replay" but it seems as if that doesn't actually download the replay. I checked in the /User/Library/Application Support/Heroes of Newerth/game/replays folder and there are only two replays that show up under the "Local Replays" list.

The question is: how do I get the video file from the app itself? Or how do I move a "downloaded replay" into the local replays area?

Are you downloading from the site or from the game itself?

As for the video, you have to record it with a program like Fraps.

How to fix that Campatize Download patch ... Is there any way to watch older replays from older patches? For example now I cant watch replays that are on patch 1.0.7. is this normal or I am doing smth wrong?

I knew all currently written in the guide already.

I would suggest adding:

1) Instructions to deleting replays [saving space]
2) A list of simple Cvar's like some have already posts, and also how these Cvars are used and if the effect persists, how to use them etc...

Otherwise great guide for new players.

When I try to view a replay I downloaded it says calculating download version 1.0.6, that loads, then it says Writing Archive version 1.0.6 and that bar freezes halfway and I can't cancel out of it. What to do?!

Same. Pre 1.10 patch replays "compatize" but nothing happens, they remain un viewable...

Go to Program Files > HoN > delete the compat folder. Have fun viewing old replays.
