    Background

    In a pub, drinking with her crew, someone argued with her, someone she didnt even know, someone that probably knew about her stories and trumphs. But she wasn't there for politics, she was ther to drink and have fun!But the stranger persist.She won the argue, mostly because she had friends nearby to support, and the stranger went away. After hours of drinking and gambling she left the pub, and walked with her crew till her ship, for new adventures!new gold!new rum! and new fun! but her ship wasnt there, it was wrecked and on fire, and all she could hear was a faint voice ' you wont help me, you wont sail hahaha'.That drove her insane, her ship, family inheritance , was now destroyed. She went back to the pub, and had to hold herself not to kill everyone, she got the information she wanted, the stranger was from a evil group of creatures named helbourne. So she decided to fight against, not for the sake of newerth, but for vengeance.
    She talked to your majesty the King Jeraziah, who at this time knew what happened , and he asked her to join the Legion, the opposing group who fought the Helbourne. She denied alliances, she said she fought for her family honour, and he said 'We have rum...' .As you may know, the rum is a decisive argument in a discussion with a pirate, if even the helbourne guy had used this argument...

    Role

    Captain Laura is a fun hero to play, she s a great pusher, and a great farmer. And could be a semi-carry aswell.

    Strengths and weaknesses

    + Good int for an strenght hero, and good int gain as well, which results in large mana pool.
    + Has one of the most powerful nukes in the game, being an strenght hero.
    + Has a good lane control.
    + Anti-gank
    - low armor
    - low base agility and low agility gain
    - doesnt have any escape mechanism.

    Skills

    Cannon Ball -
    Laura puts up a cannon that will charge for up to 4 seconds (on level 4) increasing 100 damage per second. The cannon ball goes straight for 800 units , hitting anyone whos near it while it travels.

    level 1 - charges up to 1 second , maximum of 100 damage.
    level 2 - charges up to 2 seconds , maximum of 200 damage.
    level 3 - charges up to 3 seconds , maximum of 300 damage.
    level 4 - charges up to 4 seconds , maximum of 400 damage.

    manacost - 130
    cooldown - 15 segs

    additional information : its a skill that's similar to KotL Illuminate, but with 4 main differences, on level 4, illuminate charges up to 5 seconds dealing 500 damage. KotL Channels. Captain Laura doesnt, so its easier to trick your enemies into the fog, and begin fighting with a 400 hp gap. The other two differences is mana cost, decreased by 10 , and cooldown, increased by five.
    At any moment while its charging, Captain laura can activate the skill and release the cannonball, dealing damage depending on the time charged.

    Anchor Weight - She throws an anchor at someone, damaging, slowing them down and lowering their armour for the duration of the debuff.

    Movespeed Slow: 20%-70%, fades over 2-4 seconds.
    Damage: 30-90 / 50 - 150 / 70 - 210 / 90 - 270
    Armor Reduction: 0 - 2 / 0 - 3 / 1 - 4 / 2 - 5
    Range: 450 / 550 / 650 / 750

    Casting Time: 1 to 3 seconds
    Cooldown: 20s
    Duration (Armor Deduction): 4-7s


    Mana cost 120


    The loyal friend! - Summons a parrot , only loyal to the Captain.

    Level 1 - Parrot Dies in 1 attack . Movespeed of 200. Fly. Carry items. Sight of 2000
    Level 2 - Parrot Dies in 2 attacks . Movespeed of 260. Fly. Carry items. Sight of 2100
    Level 3 - Parrot Dies in 3 attacks . Movespeed of 320. Fly. Carry items. Sight of 2200
    Level 4 - Parrot Dies in 4 attacks . Movespeed of 380. Fly. Carry items. Sight of 2300

    Additional information- as Captain Laura doesnt have any direct escape mechanism, i think helping preventing ganks would be useful. The parrot stay flying over the Captain's head when not assigned to anything. And aswell as Beast Master Hawk, has a wide vision. So you can either use it as a courier (unshareble) or as a ward (: and if you assign him to attack some enemy, he will follow that enemy giving you sight of him. Can only be attacked by ranged attacks.
    You can only have one parrot at a time.

    Mana Cost - 200
    Cooldown - 180 segs (from activation)


    Piratery - passively has a chance of attacking again and drink rum at every foe she kills.

    Level 1 - 25% chance of attacking twice , for every creep she kills gets 3 extra gold and drink rum that recovers 7 hp and 9 mana. For hero Recovers 40 hp and 50 mana and gets 20 extra gold.
    Level 2 - 30% chance of attacking twice , for every creep she kills gets 4 extra gold and drink rum that recovers 10 hp and 12 mana. For hero kills, recovers 70 hp and 80 mana and gets 35 extra gold.
    Level 3 - 35% chance of attacking three times , for every creep she kills gets 5 extra gold anddrink rum that recovers 13 hp and 15 mana.For Hero Kills, recovers 100 hp and 120 mana and gets 50 extra gold.


    Additional information: remembering that its not a 2.0x critical, its two attacks, (think of doubling her attackspeed for 2 attacks). and for level 3 three attacks(three times the attackspeed for 3 attacks)
    And the Hp and Mana bonus works with denies as well.

    Skill 1, like. (I loved KotL)
    Skill 2, like.
    Skill 3, like. (Parrot + Doombringer = BAIT )
    Skill 4, by the time you get level 6 the majority of the last hit/deny phase of the game will be over. That being said, the hp/mp gain may be a bit too small.

    So, based on my comments above I'm going to vote n... yes. Duh. T-Up

    Why can the parrot only be attacked by range? Normal flying couriers can attacked by melee and this is basically a free one. Also might want to be more specific on the numbers of the sight range (1800/800 is a hero's sight range). You also gave the ult a level four i believe.

    yeah... i think i should change that hp/mp gain... but considering she is a pusher, and she pretty much can clean a lane with lv 4 Cannon ball, that would give her already a lot of hp/mp what do you think?

    Yeah didn't think of skill usage benefiting that, well its up to you. How much do you think she'll need the regain if she's ricing a lane?

    i think its enough... well... lets say she has her ulti lv 3, she uses the canon ball, 130 mana, kills all the creeps, supposing there were 10 creeps attacking a tower, that would give her 150 mana. and 130 hp.
    Well... i 'll see what the other ones think of that before changing anything...

    First off, your claimed downsides for your hero arent really true...
    - low armor She has a base armour of 4...
    - low base agility and low agility gain This is true, but she isnt a carry so who cares
    - Not so good strenght gaing for a strenght hero, lacking in damage 2.8 is a good gain for any stat, if you want a low strength stat on a strength hero check out armadon.
    - doesnt have any escape mechanism. The parrots are counter gank, this is more important than an a escape mech as it prevents you needing one in the first place whilst stopping your carry from being jumped.

    All in all, lower the base armour, and lower the intel gain. It costs her under 500 to pop everything. By level 7 with her present intel gain (480 mana) she will be able to cast all her spells. At level 25 with her 1372 mana pool and having medium length c/d's and needing only 500 to pop everything. Big overkill and underjustified.

    Low agility should not be countered by high armour, the purpose of high agi gain is two fold, with a 2.3 agi gain you gain 1 armour every 3 levels (approx), so by level 24 you have 8 additional armour. If you have a decent starting armour (4) which is higher than nearly all non-agi's in the game its a bit over the top.

    300 MS is a good pick, she has no MS skills and a single long c/d slow, so 300 was a good pick.

    First Skill: KotL Clone, was fine on kotl should be fine here.

    Second Skill: Tidehunter clone.

    So far you have two nukes totally over 600 damage, and a the average intel gain for an intel hero... You also have slow and -armour affect, and possibly a micro stun depending on how much you copy tide. This is alot for a semi-carry/tank/nuker/support hero. Too much nuke damage for a hero who wasnt made to be a nuker but a semi carry/lane pusher/farmer. Swap out the damage on the tidehunter clone.

    Third Skill: Good skill, Rexxar's Bird with item slots. This seems reasonably balanced, but i think 4 attacks is a bit much when you have 4 birds. 4 birds on 1 player means they need 16 attacks to stop them being followed, IF the player were dumb enough to run them along flat ground. Drop the number of attacks or give it like 25 hp.

    Forth Skill: I like this one, its original. The Hp/mana gain has good synergy with a the first skill. The double attack makes this shine, because double attack >>>> 2x crit. This is because it stacks with crit. All in all a good skill with good numbers

    All in all, a good character. Fills the void of Pirateman from dota as they havent introduced him yet. All in all a decent concept that needs some numerical consideration. T-up from me.

    PS: Can i gain some feedback on my hero other than just negative votes. I dont care about the t-down, just need to find out how to fix whats wrong with my hero.

    Although the picture doesn't appeal me very much, the hero itself looks good.
    Good skills
    (probably slightly overpowered currently).

    Strength gain has to be nerfed (2.8 = not so good? > it's more than average. --> predator/pharaoh only have 2.4).
    And Intelligence also has to be nerfed (compare to other STR heroes with 2 active spells/nukes).

    Parrot should work like a standard flying courier (means: make it shareable).

    Like the hero overall, My fav skill is the Parrot by far.

    In my opinion, the ultimate needs a buff. Either making it like blacksmith (x2 at lvl 6 x3 at lvl 11 x4 at lvl 16) or improve the numbers

    hmmm...
    might make it x2,x2,x3 . because i think a x4 lategame would be imba, imagine if you have thunderclaw.
    besides, late game you have a better attackspeed already.
