Don't look up the lyrics because every website will tell you it's "end the."
As for the google link, don't you think that's the first place I'd look? I have searched every single lyrics website, that is why I am so fascinated by this. Why would EVERY website make such an OBVIOUS mistake? That's why I need verification that I'm not the only one who hears this.

Agreeing with xMonodo here. I cranked up my volume hardcore and it's "an end to misery".
Yea.. I had to close my door and windows and turn up the volume a bit.. even tried taking my headphones off a bit to get clearer sound.. she says "andend to misery"
but meant to be "and end to misery"

I had an issue with all website making the same mistakes, was for Amorphis - My Sun
My best guess is because somebody dares to write the lyrics for the song and every other website copy/pastes the entire lyrics for their website, since they can't really "copyright" what they wrote.
What if light ends misery? So he wants to bring light+end to misery?
I mean, we have tons of statistical data indicating that sunlight actually improves happiness (and lotsa other stuff that isnt relevant to this thread).
My first language isnt english though, so that may be why i dont understand why it doesnt make sense. It makes sense just fine to me.
But i must also admit, that i have heard song lyrics that didnt make sense before, in other songs.
