Yes
No, here's why...
Quite a simple suggestion really, sparked by the exploit and then this mod. It seems that a lot of players prefer right click deny to having to press A then click.
To me, this removes a part of tedium from the game, which has to be a good thing. I don't really buy the argument that it removes skill, as pressing 'a' isn't really a skill or anything technical.
I would be interested to hear arguments against.
Yeah I think this is a great idea and I haven't seen that mod so thanks for the link.
When I'm ganked and I want to run away and there's a low creep around, I certainly don't want to accidentaly rightclick on it just to have myself start my stupid attackanimation and get killed ONLY because of that.
Play with your mod but leave that crap out of hon.
I can't come up with a single valid reason not to impliment it, honestly. And even if for some reason you don't want to use it, it could just be made into an option in the menu.
Not to mention the whole concept of pressing A is only used when attacking your own creeps (and items I suppose, but yeah), which makes it a completely unintuitive process which I would assume a lot of new players know nothing about. Or at least I certainly didn't til I read it on one of these forums.
This could actually be helpful for the newbie hurdle of figuring out what denying even is
Most useful mod I've downloaded. No reason to not add this as an option in the game.
Even though I love right-click deny, I will admit than holding 'h' and manually attacking gives me more precision in my last-hitting, but I love having the option at least.
i always use "a" for last hit (enemy/ally) creep, more precission, right click is for autoattack
popular suggestion: what was the hero that died? -> http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/sh...ad.php?t=63161
If you're going to vote no to this suggestion, would you vote yes to a suggestion that forced you to A-click your own creeps to attack them? What about one that required you to M-click to move? Making the game easier to play is always a positive.
No. I recently played with a newbie who had trouble knowing which creeps were allied and which were hostile. If allied creeps could be attacked by right click, she would constantly kill her own creeps inadvertently. She'd probably have lost the game 1vs0.
It's also a matter of consistency. All allied units and structures need an A-click (you'd certainly not want to change that for allied heroes).
I like pressing A, gives you a function on the keyboard to use.
Make a function in interface to toggle it off and on. Problem solved. Now please implement it.
