    The reason for this suggestion is pretty simple, a lot of players like to buy a manatube or lifetube in lane, and don't really have anything to build it into. I also wanted to make a way to switch functions between manatube and lifetube (as often you want lifetube in lane and manatube later on).

    I thought about other items which people often buy, and boots were the obvious one to combine with.

    Here are sample stats:

    +70 movement speed
    +32% base damage against creeps (+12% on ranged hero)

    Toggles between mana regeneration (+125%) and health regeneration (+6) modes (similarly to Steamboots, but I'd maybe put a 30sec cooldown on changing it over).

    Changes:
    v1.1. Removed Major Totem, added Logger's Hatchet.

    Please vote on concept rather than numbers/balance - S2 can fix it if they put the item in.

    Very good imo. Almost too good... this has everything that a hero like Madman needs early game.

    slightly expensive, but a good item, should be implemented

    its good but because there is no recipe it shouldn't give extra mana/health regeneration. Its main use should be to put these items in one slot

    Yeah, you could potentially put a recipe in the major totem slot. The idea is to make the boots more expensive than ghost/steamboots so that they're not an auto-buy, more aimed at carry/semi-carry heroes like Madman, Chronos, Sand Wraith.

    Like the idea but the stat boost just makes the item too powerful imo. Maybe remove totem and put in a small recipe or another item (that isn't used much) to make it vary more. A decent idea would be to give it +2 armor instead of +5 stats by using the ring.

    I did think of this, but then the armor seems to make it too close to Plated Greaves. Maybe I could use a Pretender's Crown and make it +2 on each stat. Would also bring the boots closer to the 1500 standard.

    Whoever voted no, care to post why?

    Hmm that could work. What if you had it combine with the loggers hatchet to give the creep bonus dmg but NOT the treecutting ability. Could give melee support/roamers a bit of a boost and provide significant uniqueness. Though I think the armor is still better than the stats. I mean plated give +3 to all stats so you could say that its still too close to plated. I think using rarerly used/unique items are the way to go when you have to choose, makes for more choices.

    Love hatchet boots...but getting the full effects of both tubes for the price of one seems a bit too powerful, even considering that you only get 1 at a time and there is a cooldown on the toggle. And getting regen+movespeed+creepdamage all on one item for such a low price is way too much.
    What if you replaced the tube choices with :ScarabRing:+:TrinketOfRestoratio and lowered the regen amount?

    It's way too good in it's current form. What Folly suggested doesn't sound bad.

    What would you suggest as a recipe cost to keep it how it is? (or maybe I could give the toggle charges ala Nullfire Blade?)

    The reason I used the major totem was to increase the cost originally.

    Also should I make this item non-resaleable?

    I like this item. It offers an alternative to getting Runed Axe as a melee hero that needs mana regen. I don't see any problem with adding another boot into the mix, as long as they are all kept balanced in price and purpose. I don't think that this should be able to be sold, but maybe it could be dismantled into its original parts.

    I agree, its a nice item though i'd even lower the hp/mana regen a bit as you take 4 usefull early game items into one, hatched boots regeneration, these are all verry nice items, being able to switch between them is tricky, i'd say make 2 kinds of boots,

    :Marchers::Lifetube::LoggersHatchet: the hp regen boots,
    :Marchers::Manatube::LoggersHatchet: the mana regen boots,

    Or alternatively,

    :Marchers::Sustainer::LoggersHatchet: these, they will be more expensive but i don't see that matter that much imo. they're great items and it will be 1 slot item
    to these boots i'd keep the stats you currently have, and no toggling.

    if you stay with your current idea, i'd say make regen 4, and mana 80%, and no toggle cooldown

    i love the idea though, great boots
