I know im probably shooting myself in the foot by posting here of all places knowing what you guys are like But im realy trying to avoid getting stuck with Forign students whom speak little english, live messily and will constantly try to bring in others and split off sections of the place with string and bedsheets to form extra rooms (Like the 5 they currently have packed into the place)






But here goes :P

Twenty-something geeky girl gamer and IT professional seeks likeminded individual to share space with.
Ideally, my new housemate will be into computer and online games like I am, but also neat and has the ability to clean up after themselves. (I'm delusional by asking that... right??)

My little cave in the real world is located on Alice St, right across the road from the Botanical Gardens in Brisbane's CBD, should you feel the need to get some sun.
This awesome Third floor apartment is fully furnished, comes with bed, couch, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher.
It's a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom place, you'll have your own bedroom and bathroom although we share a balcony.
The complex has a sauna and pool. (oh oh! it has aircon too! yey!)

Going for $240 per week plus power and Internets (Internode ADSL2+)

1 Carpark is avaliable in the complex, but it will cost extra.

i got into university of queensland for this year. i just found out today that i didnt get into the college i applied for (cromwell!)

i may be interested however $300 a week does seem quite steep for plans i have...

tell you what, i'll work out more of a budget and get back to you.


p.s. just looked up how close it is, thats pretty damn close to st lucia... my other option is staying in strathpine with my insanley ****ed up aunt and uncle....

this looks like a good opportunity. will definitely consider.

if only the apartment was in adelaide CBD I'm a 3rd year uni student doing bachelor of Computer Science. I have a few friends in brisbane/sunshine coast, only one of them goes to uni, I think $300 will be a bit expensive for him though.

I'm currently paying $150 a week (not including power/interntes) out at Fitzgibbon (near Chermside) and *would* be going thru about another 100 a week in transport purely for to-from work if i was using an Adult Gocard (Student card with no expiry = WIN)

It sort of balances out with transport costs to-from work, especialy so if you like to go out alot (specificly to the city/valley/southbank) as you'd just walk instead.

It would be easier if you had a partner/BF/GF whom could move in with you, then you could just split the rent again between them :P

And sheesh, girl gamers dont exist you know, it's all a Myth!! :P
