Pretty good guide. Although, I would suggest Sac Stone as a good item to get ( I usually get it before Frostplate for the charges ), as the hp efficiency with the Mana Shield causes the hp/mp to be slightly higher than Heart's hp gain. And, with a few charges, the Hp regen (6) and Mp regen (probably around 6 if your not doing great), will only be a little less than Heart's hp regen. However, the heal and etc that you give off when you die helps your team a lot, and if you go for Sheepstick, the 200% mp increase will turn your mp regen (probably 8) into 24, which actually is 24 / .75 = 32 hp regen, which is around or better than Heart's hp regen, especially if you have more charges on your Sac Stone or have Frostplate to increase your mp regen even more.
very nice guide. not only is it good even tho u dont have any icons and it's all text, but you make reading the basic stats and stuff interesting b/c you touch upon the significance of them, and how they fit into the play, all the while justifying against the widely taken conceptions.
a good example is the purpose statement of the item build section. listing a bunch of stuff and having super long explanations is totally beat out by a global concept statement, and then being concise with the rest.
love your writing style. gj. plz write more guides
?hm when i activate electric absorption and hit 3 creeps, i wont gain all the mana spended. actually i dont get all the mana back by hitting 4 creeps. i tested it in practis mode again, cast with full mana and afterwards missing a bit of my mana. and yeah i actually hit all 4 of them, cause of the dmg they took.
so can anyone explain?
take a look at th enumbers on the skills. it's not 1/5 anymore, it's slightly less. the numbers on the guide is outdated.

Has anyone tried building Hellflower on Elec? It's awesome. Easy to farm since you're never spending more than 900 gold, and the mana regen is perfect for your mana shield. I would often run out of mana before way too quickly during teamfights, but now with Hellflower that rarely happens. What's also nice about it is that you can cast it on someome during a teamfight, and then grip someone else, in effect disabling two characters at once OR you can cast it on the person you will be gripping to increase the damage they take from your grip. It rapes because they can't fight back and everyone can throw their magic on the dude killing him much faster.
A+ item in my opinion. Strange how I've never heard anyone mention it for Elec.
Most likely because besides the support effect of silence and the mana regen (which can be obtained in other ways) there is pretty much nothing that compliments him as a tank sadly.
I'd say getting it if you lack disables and already managed to build up a better tank core then you cant really go wrong with support items like hellflower or kuldra.
Electrician + Forsaken archer is a rape combo. my friend had 24/1/6 with FA and i had 6/0/24 with Elec. you should try that combo guys, it's amazing. Good guide tho. i usually buy a bit different then u do. When i start i buy:
1 set runes of blight
3 minor totems
1 of that item which gives 3 str
and one of that item which gives 3 int
Then i get Sustainer asap. After sustainer i get Enhanced marchers, then frostfield plate and atlast behemoths heart. This item build works out perfecly for me.![]()
wondering if you could answer a question ..what do you think of the new support orientated boots on electrician would you still pick steamboots over them (plated greaves)

I personally always go plated greaves on Electrician now over Steamboots. The deciding difference for me is the faster move speed with them. You need to be able to chase to grip enemies running away, and I find that extra 10 movespeed to be worth it.
greaves are the best boots on elec now will update it within the week

K this applies to all my guides but my interest for this game is literally at an all time low. It has been my pleasure serving you and I wish you the best in all your future endeavors. I will still occasionally lurk the forums but I will not be updating any of my guides.

I appreciate everything you have written TinyBlkTears. I recently got into HoN and with the help of your guide have become a fairly proficient electrician. Hope you will still add a few more words of wisdom
Is Electrician supposed to be able to purge Jere's charmed buff? I thought it did but last game I played as him the game was not allowing me to target that hero.. very frustrating.
it should. Dunno if it doesn't work it's likely a bug.

Depending on the situation, I've gone with mock of brillance for extra damage while gripping (if you're 4 seconds doing nothing but gripping someone, you might aswell do some damage around you), and barbed armor, if the enemy team likes to kill the initiator fastly or if your enemy is continously moving in gropus of 5, barbed armor scales well with electrician due to the doble HP pool. Good guide tho, frosty plate is one of my core items as elec too and the skill build is flawless.
