Help! I need Somebody! Help! Not just anybody!
Help! I need someone! HEEEEEELLLLPPP!!!!
I need people who play competitive games with clans and have very much experience with all heroes.
Allways get HotBL on elec, unless they have no autoattackers or something.
after than buy glowstone pickled brain and manatube then dissemble HotBL and make a sac stone
Is this guide out of date? Playing electrician today, it seems the energy shield has a damage aura, which isn't mentioned here
yea it does have a damage aura... guide author said he's going to update...
for... usually go with
Hatchet
buckler
runes of blight
life tube
boots and after that rush for SAC STONE.
since electrician can get kill early on... rushing sac stone is not a bad option cuz YOU NEED THE CHARGES
FINALLY PORTAL KEY!!! Yes the blink really helps in initiating and escapingif you can juke for 4 seconds... your home free
31 mins in....uhhh by this time the game usually ends for me
but if the game is still going on.... I'd say go for support items.
highly recommend sheep stick.
I'm a pretty new player but I've had some epic success with elec and I feel my item build works better for me than the one listed here. This is based off EM play though, I honestly don't know if anything changes item build wise to a switch to normal. Waiting for my friend before we start going into normal games.
I start off with 2 crowns and 6 runes, I prefer having the extra healing to a totem simply because it lets me stay in a lane longer.
Then I go with the phase boots, simply because the move bonus you get from shock stacks with the phase speed. This lets you move in extremely fast to get the grab going. In many of my kills that extra speed I get from the phase + shock combo is the difference in getting my target gripped in time. This also leaves your target with less reaction speed.
From there I go for a Helm of the Black legion to make up for not getting the phase boots, I usually have this in time for the first team fight and as Elec you're not really immortal at this stage so I think it makes a big difference.
After this I always go for the Sacrificial Stone. The extra mana gives you more damage absorption when you have shield up, and that extra mana can be the difference of me affording to either grip/energy absorption for extra damage or a shock for either myself, a team mate or an enemy. You also get charges for heroes that dies close to you, and I've had 10+ charges on this 3 games in a row now.
After this I usually win the game, but if it drags out longer I like to go for behemoth heart just to make sure I'm absolutely unkillable in the late game. Honestly I don't care too much which item I get at this point as the game is usually won when I get my sac stone which means no more dying. Last game I played I got the beast heart so I had 4300 hp and 1300 mana with this combo.
I'm a quite new player though, so I'll gladly I don't have the experience needed to back this up. If anyone has any arguments as to why these specific items is not ideal please let me know.
Quick edit about farming: I don't really have any problems farming being a tank like this. Energy absorption is usually powerful enough to leave a wave to only have one melee hit left on them, and it takes very quick time to mob them up when I have used it. Alternatively if I have creeps hitting on them I hit every creep once and then I use the EA which kills most of them every time.

You can afford a minor totem with two crowns and two runes.
That totem can be used to make plated. You are a tank, and while your opponent might have less time to react with phase, the stats and armor bonus are too nice to pass up. Also it lets you push lanes with armor and nuke.
I don't know if I have mentioned this but I am not going to be updating any of my guides as I play this game significantly less then I use to, my apologizes. I collaborated a bit with Fauh for a joint Elec guide, it is currently in the draft section, but he is busy with other stuff as well, and when he gets around to it it will ultimately be his guide, not a joint guide.
Ramsay Sound Pack
People shouldn't need to validate themselves to others. Report to yourself.
Everyone needs a personal sanctuary, find yours.
People get shield first because early when heroes are doing 50 damage a hit (before armor reduces it) shield can block a lot of that damage, and it builds into helm of black.
Steam boots are in my opinion better because of the extra strength for HP/damage and they speed up your really slow auto attack, but phase boots probably work fine as well
Make sure you get Loggers Hatchet early every game, it makes last hitting creeps much easier and that means more gold!
Why the hate on the bloodstone? Item's the **** for him.
With one of those and frostfield plate you're just about invincible.
How can you possibility not get mana at all. His 3rd skill regains mana if you used it right. 3 creeps=free damage, any more creeps and you'll gain mana.
How to do this? Stand between melee and rangers, use absorbing shock, that'll be 5 hits of the creeps, you'll regain some mana. Stacking creeps works too. Repeat as nesserary. Don't use your shield, only use it for escaping mechanism or chasing someone down. Shield is a free mock, of course but don't always leave it on since it only has 300 radius. It's not that big.
You don't need bottle, ring or any mana regeneration.Just practice with him more. He said it's optional to get bottle but to me, it's a useless 600g for elec, instead get a power supply. You'll get more benefit from it since you are the intenitor(spelling?).
Starting build:
Courier
axe
potion/rune
totem (its your last 60g, its better to have +1 stats to all then nothing)
In lane:
buckler
Straight for health regeneration
boots
Mid game:
wards
Plate grieves
wards
heart
wards
Port Key
Late game:
BKB (headress)
(This is my build and everybody plays it differently so you can give it a try but if you fail, don't come to me and saying it sucks. Why do I buy wards and courier is because nobody ever buys them. I have to do everything for myself.)
First item to get for an Electrician should ALWAYS be a Power Supply!! I've recently opened my eyes for this great item and now I can't live without. The minor totems are handy to have early game and this item is going to heal you way more than a bottle will throughout the game. It's not like an Electrician needs to bottle runes anyway, there are other classes that needs the runes more. When you come to the point in the game where it doesn't take too long to get 15 charges you'll restore 225 health/mana. If you spend that mana on shield + cleansing shock on yourself as you use your phase boots you will be able to get away from almost anything.
Totally agree. I get power supply on electrician every game. It's so easy to rack up 15 charges within 5 seconds.
One thing you may have forgot but maybe not. Electric shield does 24/36/48/60 magic dsp in 300 aoe. I chain electric grip, even a level 1 electric shield and energy absorption and they get raped.
At all max levels this combo can do 1100 magic damage. Electric shield also helps for destroying creeps.
Just for giggles you can even get MoB on him and do 120 magic dps. It get's ridiculous.
Heres a pretty standard game. Match 37892774

i found electrician being a fine tank with just HOTBL instead of going for heart. unless the game goes over 60mins its not really worth getting heart. simply because you could farm something ironic like a portal key to blink grip into the fight. this is prime for ganking and can help to chase, your ulti can boost you / slow them and you could simply blink grip, kill.

I would say... if you can rush behemoth's heart do it...If you get 3200 gold get the big strength item if you can't go for HoTBL. I only get those items if I want to tank. If you look at this game Match 37957735 I was being chased by 4 heoroes: jere, mq already ulted, chronos who already ulted, and nymph and made it out alive. I even left my boots in the stash my accident. It happened at the end of the game.
