Assuming that Techies ever gets ported in his current dota form. There's a few additions I would like to see to improve the way he's played.
In HoN there's 7 buttons for skills.
QWER should be assigned as follows. I consider this the most ergonomic setup for techies possible that veteran techies players should be easily be able to adjudge to.
Q = Suicide. (More ergonmic than dota)
W = Stun Wards (More ergonomic than dota
E = Mines (Same as in dota)
R = Remotes Mines. (Same as dota) Your also able to put autocast on. Will explain that in a second.
D = Detonate (same as in dota)
Now this leaves two extra buttons, F & G which should not go to waste, exspecially on techies.
F will be a secondary function for remote mines. How it will function will depend on if autocast is enabled on the remotes.
*Default : The remote mine will be planted and detonated immediately.
*AutoCast Enabled: The remote mine will be planted and then selected automatically. Just like in dota.
*Or vice versa.
G will be suicide on spot.
Just like with the "auto cast concept" on the remote mines, G will Put suicide on autocast which would change suicide from a targeting spell to a cast of self spell.
PS. Visual Stuff. Not hotkey related.
Statis Ward Visual indication
Techies is able to link his stun wards in dota which can be used to increase the stun radius, a small fact unknown to many.
*I would like to see a visual indication of this ingame showing a link between the stasis wards when they within range of one another.
*Be able to see the trigger radius again when you click on the ward. If they linked, it should show the radiuses of all involved wards.
*An indication that the ward has been triggered.
The Casting Time mod should be added to HoN by default...

abilities and their hotkeys are changeable in HoN instead of dota.
