    roflwtfbbqs signature portfolio

Those are my first tries in creating signatures.
I would love some constructive criticism!

That could work, but I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah well, the first one is with free space for text but at the second one I just dont know what to put there...
I've tried different things like glowing lines and stuff but somehow there's nothing fitting in there.
    Any ideas?

Not terrible, but the background is a bit boring..You are also leaving too much room that is empty and boring.

    Read some tutorials

    Very good

Mediocrity : The empty room is I'll assume for text such as stats or clan name ect.

I don't find them noob at all, you just need some practise, that's all.

The second one is actually really good, I would have only added some effects to the font : )

    Yeah it is.

I don't know, do you think it's a bit too dark or too bright? :s

Render is nicely blended, neat looking background.

    Here comes the critique

Lighting could use work, same with the text placement. The font itself is a bit too blocky for this type of signature.

You have like 3 light sources in the same picture o.o

    Definitely better though.

    I really appreciate your comment.
    Thanks for the critique!
I'll rework the text and check if I can change the light sources to be more... in place with the picture.
    Thanks a lot.

    Edit:
I tried another font, I think that this one fits better

Heh, text and font is probably the hardest part of signature making. Since it's purely based off the signature at hand, so it changes every time.

    It still needs some work
Don't bother trying to fix it, move on to another project, and explore different techniques.

    You've one upped yourself again.

I love the color use, but the signature is too dark for the colors used.

Try adding some brightness so the colors can be brought out more.

    text is horrid

Didn't work out as good as I wanted it to, but I don't want to fix a sig for too long.
Note to myself if I ever get back to fixing this sig: fix the lighting on the person!
I'll better learn some new techniques on a new one.

    Edit:

This was more of a lighting test but I think it worked out quite well.

Any comments on those new ones?

Oh yeah and thanks Mediocrity, I really appreciate your frequent comments a lot!
But I would love some more comments from other people.

    Aaaand a last one.
