Can you utilize a banlist when you aren't host?

Hello,

Just had a horrible game. After shrugging it off and going through it to ban the bads and *******s, I realized one of them was already on my banlist. This has been happening fairly frequently.

If I'm in the lobby when they join, I get a message that they are on my banlist. But if they are the host, or already there when I join, I get no message.

Am I doing something incorrectly, or is there functionality I am unaware of?

It's like that, perhaps someone could make a quick mod to check each player if they're in your banlist. Not sure if that's possible with a mod though, third-party application would be possible though.

Usually when I join a game where there's somebody I've banlisted, the first thing I see in the lobby chat is "xxx is on your banlist." and I try to alert the host to it. Sometimes, it's the host who happens to be on my banlist :/

Are you sure this is how it's working? What I get is that if I'm already in a game, and someone on my banlist joins, THEN I get a message. If they are already there when I join, I don't see anything.

You get a message that pops up regarding those already in there? If so, it sounds like there is something I'm not understanding.

Can you elaborate please?
