Written in the spirit of this Skeleton King guide [ http://www.scribd.com/doc/11590030/K...-Skeleton-King ]
Still a good read though, i approve of the classic build; Armlet -> Desolator -> Cuirass -> BKB
You mean N'aix, the lifestealer, is who Pred is based off of. [ http://www.playdota.com/heroes/lifestealer ]

u ppl do know that frostburn and shieldbreaker dont stack
just saying not pointing out that half the world doesnt know about it
Orb switching means you can get both, but honestly, the Shieldbreaker/Cuirass combo is the best.
Its enought with some boots and a vanguard to him, then he can tank towers, kill the whole team thanks to his lifesteal and stone hide.
Like i said before, nerf him.
updated with some info on starting items
This is what you need when your laning
Nukers focused on harassing (such as Pyromancer, thunderbringer, valkarie and other aggressive laners that use magic damage) = Buy as much health regen and mana regen that you think you will need in lane. Then with the rest of your money you want to buy items that will increase your damage when you harass and increase your chance to last hit/deny.
Heroes that won't need mana regen in lane and focus on farm (such as Chronos, Predator, magebane) = Buy as much health regen as you need then buy items to last hit with. On heroes like predator, bloodhunter, zephry that have a way to heal in lane you can sacrifice some health regen for increased last hit damage. An example would be 3 runes of blight instead of 6.
Heroes that may need mana regen but need to prioritize farm (such as madman, puppetmaster, panda, Behemoth) = Buy mana regen and health regen but remember you need to able to last hit.
Heroes that need to babysit the lane ( Hellbringer, soul reaper, demented shaman) = First off either buy a courier or wards depending on who is getting what. Then get the mana regen you need and health regen, most babysit heroes are built with some sort of heal so they can sacrifice some health regen to buy more mana regen and really support the lane. Finish off build with some damage to last hit.
tell me if its useful

nothing wrong but tbh should jungle with this hero unless team mates are noobs and don't have 2 viable solo heroes
So like.... was this a joke?
I mean you say Predator is useless until Insanitarious.... He's always very strong, even early game without items >_>
Predator is pretty bad all game actually. Once you get insanitarious though your dps and survivability is pretty much doubled. There's almost always a better hero to pick though, especially with all the "superior magic" bull shiit thats going on his immunity is almost worthless to be honest.
And if the other team has a succubus or panda whos at your skill level then the game is pretty much 4v5 right off the bat

On Frostburn
It does, you just need to juggle the modifiers. Although honestly I don't think that makes it any betterFirst thing to note is that the slow wont stack with -armor of shield breaker.

Thanks for the reply.
I've been wanting to try out a new hero after getting a good handle on Accursed, Jeraziah and Demented Shaman, and was looking for something more offensively oriented. I chose Predator because I think his leap is pretty awesome, aesthetically speaking.
Why would you choose Predator? Obviously you wouldn't pick as hard carry, so when would you pick him?
Another Question: I was laning with Magebane as Predator in the top lane on Hellborne against Plague Rider and Behemoth. My laning partner was getting mad at me because I wasn't using my Venomous Leap to harass them. I figured that would be a pretty stupid stunt, considering Plague has a snare and Behemoth has a really generously ranged stun -- I figured I'd come out with less mana and beaten and bruised while barely even scratching them, which isn't effective harassment. Eventually I just opted to jungle because it was a tough lane for me. What should I have done? Was my lane partner right, or was I right to not directly engage this combo of heroes?
Also, I should only jungle when I run into a particularly tough lane, correct? And I shouldn't grab the buckler unless I'm jungling, correct?
