You *could* just play the hero yourself and get a feel for how the pyro plays. It's a pretty straightforward int-nuker hero.

    Try this guide:

Since Pyro is identical to Lina, this should be applicable to him as well.

Please keep in mind 2 things when reading that guide.

1.) Pyro's 3rd ability is now innate and effects casting speed, so you are actually able to chain his combo more effectively.

2.) That guide is VERY old and does not include all of the items that are available in HoN.

Personally, in the current environment I would suggest the following item build (in most situations):

1x or 2x Runes of Blight
    2x Crown of Pretender
    1x Bottle
    1x Marchers
    2x Claws -> Bracer (Sorry I can't remember the HoN name...the +6str/3agi/3int item)
    - Build sacrificial stone - Sorry, again I can't remember all HoN item names but start with the 3 items from secret shop that boost your hp/mana then buy mana/lifetube
    1x Chainmail
    1x Punch dagger
    - Build Totem (item that causes Transfiguration)

Game SHOULD be over by now, if it's not build a Heart (huge +hp and regen).

Other then that the guide posted above should be solid.

First hero I played in HoN was Pyro, I usually like to get 3-4 items depending on how much money you achieve in one match
1- Always get steamboots, at least I think so, For any character always get Steam Boots first.
2- For 2 either Get A-Codex Level 1, So you can add an extra burst to your ultimate, or B- Get Helm of the Black Legion so you don't die quite as easy.
3- 3 is A or B, depending what you picked first
4- Final Item I usually get is Staff of Master, after you have spent enough, Roughly getting Codex to level 2, Maybe even 3, You should attempt to get this item to make your Ultimate do 1250 damage, and if you still money after this, Just upgrade the codex more for a really powerful 800 damage to go along with you ultimate.

A guide for this already exists, try using the search function in future references if you're looking for a guide not currently on the "Hero/General Guide Links" but in this case it isn't updated yet(it will be later today with more links). Here is a guide to pyromancer.

I've been meaning to make one. I'll probably do it soon.

steamboots are absolutely wrong. i like enhanced marchers, but post haste is an option as well.

    heres my guide..

middle = bottle then marchers then glowstone, enhanced marchers, then brain, manatube, heart, lifetube for sacrificial heart.. Really not any order just whatever you need depending on who your fighting.. if people run fast then get enhanced marchers earlier.. etc.. anyway.. bottle+enhanced marchers+sacrificial heart are the 3 main things.. then maybe totem of kuldra/staff of the master whatever you want..

if you go to side lanes then.. scarab+2 sets of rune of blights+healing potion/2 mana potions.. then same thing sacrificial heart and enhanced marchers..

oh yeah.. S = cancels your stun.. if you didnt know that lol.. will help your stun accuracy a lot.. stun, wave, then ult maybe.. then normal attack, stun, wave etc whatever lol

yeah, I guess I didn't really check that much, I never go with steamboots either but the other item stuff is pretty spot on.

pretty much go with enhanced marchers imo to catch people running so you can use your stun. when it comes to making the sac stone go with glowstone first, then choose based on how the match is going. If mana is an issue think about the pickled brain and/or manatube, but if hp is an issue go with beast heart and/or healthtube. The order after the glowstone imo is purely based on the game style and your own play style.
