[PPT] Project Pain Train Recruiting (NA) - Updated 5/27/10 - More Casual For Now
Project Pain Train
-Who we are-
The team's origins come from DotA with a different name and no official "team" status.
We got to the fourth round of the x6 HoN League tournament [16/128 teams].
We took a break after x6, came back in April, took another break shortly after for sc2 and stuff, and now are coming back, but this time a lot more casual. To be honest, were just looking for people to play with us, hang out, etc. We will be strict on who can join though.

-Requirements-
All of these are requirements for the roster. If you believe you are an exception to 4, 5, and/or 9 you better be helluva player. Only 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, and 10 are required for people applying to play with us in pubs, scrimmages, hanging out, etc.
- Speak English.
- Speak proficient English.
- Competitive experience (any game)
- DotA experience
- Have a working microphone with no feedback and ventrilo.
- Be able to take criticism.
- Play enough to suit the teams goals and your goals and be able to make scheduled practice/scrimmages/tournament matches.
- Have a stable internet and decent computer.
- A cell phone or other mean of instant communication off of a computer.
- Can contain rage.

- People who wont bail when **** gets rough.
- People with a sense of humor, etc.
- People who can accept defeat.
- People who stay motivated.
- People who have great listening skills.
- People who don't concede early or at all.

- People who know how to do **** correctly.

- Playing other games that some of us do is a plus.

Avg. amount online per day: I’m currently on break, so I’m look forward to 5+ hours per day for the next month. After that, I'll probably be spending about 3 hours per day (usually nights)
Rough outline of your schedule: Anytime from 12PM to 2AM Eastern Time
Competitive experience: In terms of DotA, there hasn’t been much, but I have played in about 40 Tier 2 THR games for what they’re worth.
DotA experience: I’ve been around since DotA was the thing on RoC, but I wasn’t really a fan of DotA until roughly 5 years ago.
HoN experience: As I’m writing this, it has been: 58d 13h 39m since I’ve signed up for this account on HoN. This is my only HoN account. My PSR is currently in the 1570s, all of which have been pub games, where I was on the “pub team”
Roles you specialize in: I’m adept in playing any role, but I prefer playing heroes that can support and gank.
Additional information about you: I am a college student double majoring in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering and am currently on break for the winter, so I’ll be spending a considerable amount of time on Heroes of Newerth. I’ve played DotA for quite awhile now, usually with friends on Skype, but everyone I know has quit DotA, and so now I’m just looking for a group that I can play with. At least test me in try outs. :-D

Avg. amount online per day: hours+ (i used to play world of warcrack so im no stranger to quote going hardcore quote in my gaming)
Rough outline of your schedule: out of classes with no job atm so i am free to play any time of day (yes that means 5 in the morning)
Competitive experience: few random scrims
DotA experience: about 10 games. all em
HoN experience: since patch... 1.46 or so.. just before panda came out
Roles you specialize in: support, carry, ganker
Additional information about you: i can play just about any hero. i build my character in a game specifically set around the heroes and items on my own team and the enemy team. i realize and acknowledge that every skill point and every gold spent decides the end of the game therefore there is no one build for any one character for all situations. what i mean to say is i am the type of person in a game who listens to his team mates and works with them not runs around soloing like a dipshit and people who do that make me really angry actually. i do rage sometimes but its usually because feeding *******s in pub games. basically im applying because i am USW and sick of noobs in pub games.

Comp. exp: couple weeks of dota, transferred over to hon early in the beta. in terms of overall competitive exp, I play CoH and DoW/II competitively also.
Specialized roles: pretty much anything, id say i play support and initiation best, my carry abilities are decent though.
Additional Info: With my rts background Im excellent at assessing strategy/tactics in any given situation. Im a bit of an armchair general, a major reason why i like the support/initiation roles. Synchronizing a team is what I excel at, and I like to listen to other's thoughts and suggestions in order to make decisions. Overall im a reasonable person who tries to bring out the best in others. Competitive experience:If I can name any game, I played competitive counter-strike for 3 years, I played dota for a good 2 years and I've been apart of several Hardcore raiding guilds on MMO's (Wow and Lotro).
DotA experience:2 Years as a Tauren/Enigma/Axe Initiator and a Solid micro chen
HoN experience:Picked it up a month ago or so I am quickly adjusting
Roles you specialize in:I play a solid initiator if my team works with me. I am only able to pub currently so I get killed alot while playing my favorite initiators
