Joining started games as spectator

I don't know if this was mentioned before, if it was delete my post.

I often find my self waiting for friends that are already playing a game, sometimes I have to wait 40+ minutes. It would be very nice if we could join the game as spectators. I hope it is technically possible and you will consider adding this feature.

While I really like this idea I also see it being abused thoroughly. =/

Never join any spectator games if you arent a spectator yourself.

If you want to exclude things that could be abused for the sake of griefing then you have to remove half the heroes in the game as well as all chat. Accounting for outside applications (vent/skype) then you might as well just not make the game since it might be abused.
