DotA Names in Item Descriptions

How to get this

1. Download this .s2z http://www.box.net/shared/7t1opuceq0

2. Place the file inside the Heroes of Newerth game directory

For example: Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game

You will now have the DotA names like in the screenshots. To revert to the normal setup without the DotA names, simply delete the resources001.s2z file

Nice one warchamp. I agree that the icons would be a pain in the ass and honestly not really needed. Having the names is good enough.

Cool, but could this go on illegality issues, since your altering their game? If not I wish I had it back when I started HoN, kind of know all the items already. :\

Cool, thanks! I am about to get used to HoN names as well but I still want this! If the enemies are pushing I don't want to search forever for an item.

But the download link is broken! Please fix!

Edit: The link was getting fixed as I was writing. xD

To be fast, extract "entities_en.str" to: "C:\My Documments\Heroes of Newerth\game\stringtables" and the game will run this file without change the original file.... and if you want back to the original you only will need delete the file...

Cheers, icons would be a good idea as well as now you'd still have to read every item to find one. But still nice.

Just be careful when you alter game files. It might not like that around patch time.
