Force of Nature
Item Properties/Attributes:
+ 40 Damage
+ 25 Agility
+ 5 Strength
+ 5 Intelligence
+ 4 Health Regen Aura (600 radius)
5% chance to Entangle target on hit
Entangle is an attack modifier that would do the following:
40 magic dmg / sec for 3 seconds
Disarm
Immobilize
5 second cooldown so you can't stack it
Item ingredients:
Refreshing Ornament (653)
2 x Quickblade (2 x 1000)
1 x Bastard Sword (1400)
Force of Nature Recipe (1200)
Total Cost: 5253
Goal of the item (optional, but preferred): A decent high end item with a new attack modifier. The whole entangle/regen works with the "nature theme" of the item.
I also wanted something new to build off of with the Refreshing Ornament because I like having the regen and extra stats early on, especially as an agility hero. This gives you an early game item to start off with and then gradually build to something pretty powerful at the end.
I think it would be over powered in the hands of Wildsoul, since his bear has an attack very similiar to this already.
I like it - I mean the numbers for balance issues are probably off a bit. S2 will definitely end up tweaking anyones item that they end up adding in the end. But yeah, Refreshing Ornament is a relatively unused item as it leads to only the heal thing. Bringing it into another item would be great.
As for WildSoul, just make the global cooldown effect (5 seconds) proc for both the bear and him. I guess the chance to root will go up by a lot, but I'm sure their are ways around that.
i almost thought it would be a weapon that makes you and your target get pushed back on target.
(HINT TF2)
With enough attack speed on the bear, you can easily lock people down as it is already. Having an extra proc chance, or even an extra partial chance I think would be too much...
I guess that's why people usually go S&Y (forgot HoN name) on Wildsoul to slow down the target so your bear can wail on them more.
Either way, I think it would bring a cool dynamic to the game, and it has a pretty steady build progression in terms of the items you need to acquire for it.
I am not one for balancing stats/abilities vs gold cost... I just tried to make it in the same arena as some of the other higher end weapon recipes out there.
