OK FIRST OF ALL IF YOU PUT A YES OR NO, PLS COMMENT ON WHY YOU DID OR DID NOT LIKE IT!!!Skills:
IF YOU DONT LIKE A NUMBER THEN JUST TELL ME I"LL CHANGE IT. SO MANY DOUCHEBAGS FKEN PUTTING NO ON **** WITHOUT THINKING. If you have a legitimate concern thats fine with me. LEAVE A FKEN COMMENT IF YOU PUT YES OR NO!!
It drives me mental when people put yes and i can't contact them.
I woulda put a public poll but then it'd be kinda breakin the tension.
Speed: 320 (yes that's right, shes as fast as Magebane)
Attack Range: 600
Strength = 20 +1.9
Agility = 18 + 2.2
Intelligence = 23 + 2.8
OK FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE THE FIRST NO ON THE POLL IS BECAUSE ONE OF MY MATES THINKS MY HERO IS... LIKE... totally... OK
BUT HE thinks its very 'scary' support hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO IN ALL SERIOUSNESS HIS NO ISN"T REAL
SO ALWAYS TAKE AWAY ONE NO FROM THE POLL!!!
WHAT KIND OF FRIEND ARE YOU ANDY?!?!?!!!
He's Akeesoen... DAMN YOU ANDY!!!! Go read his comment its not even a proper reason.
A very powerful semi-tank/healer. Very team based and what she lacks in damage she has in survival with high armour and magical resistance with very fast regen. She is very hard to kill and thus becomes the least likely target to aim for however, she is a very strong supporter and thus it would take much planning during a team fight. She is more of a late gamer int (a rarity i would say). It should be noted, IF YOUR A PERSON WHO LIKES TO GET ASSISTS THIS IS THE HERO FOR YOU, you become heavy support. Don't expect many kills with this hero.
Made an orphan during the Beast War, she ran away from her home village where she became lost in the deep forests of Newerth. There she was raised by the elemental beings of the land in which she became one with nature itself. Now with the impending doom of the Hellbourne, the Empath makes it her right to defend her home. Enemies will underestimate her sunny disposition and cute looks but little do they know that they may be dealing with Mother Nature herself.
I Obviously don't own this image, this is all the work of Dragoneer's Aria
The idea is that she would be a young woman of roughly 17 years old with shining green hair. Her costume would be that of a lavish dark forest green corset with golden accents and tailings(looks like italian renassaince type of thing). She has a staff that looks like the one used by Gandalf the Gray (notched and twisted at the end with a crystal imbedded in it).
When she moves it should be like she runs then glides then runs then glides....
"LET'S DO THIS"
"We can win"
"Away we go"
"My daddy was a walking rock and my mommy was a talking tree"
"They should totally bring back woodstock!!"
"Roses are RED"
"Violets are BLUE"
"Flower Power MOTHER F***er"
"Feel the power of Hippies"
"AHA your stoned!!!"
"*gasps* (in an actual shocked tone) Im sorry!!"
"I can see mother.. my human one..."
The Shield of Echoes: When hit by a targeted spell, the Empath has a chance to absorb it and echo is replaced. The spell can only be used once and Echo is returned after 20 seconds or the spell has been put into use. Ultimate spells cannot be absorbed (except for some). AOE spells can be absorbed, ill put detail into that later. Item's used on Empath are blocked instead of absorbed, in which case, the cooldown Shield of Echoes is activated. Should time expire and The spell hasn't been used, Empath will heal for 150% of the spell's mana cost.
Skill Type: (passive) (magic)
Level 1: There is a 12% chance of absorbing the spell. Once used, echo returns with a 10 second cooldown of being able to absorb again.
Level 2: 18% chance of absorbing spell. 7 second cooldown.
Level 3: 24% chance of absorbing spell. 5 second cooldown.
Level 4: 30% chance of absorbing spell. 3 second cooldown.
Balance: Now i've had a long talk with my friends with mixed opinions on whether this skill was op or not but i like to think that it isn't since Ultimate's can't be blocked and you gotta admit it only absorbs spells (unlike fken CHRONOS who backtracks like ALL THE FKEN TIME).
Note: Now if your confused, when a spell is cast on Empath, the spell CAN be absorbed, when this happens, the spell replaces the Echo icon. when the spell is used, Echo icon reappears with a cooldown before it ABSORBs.
As long as you have a spell in your resevoire, YOU CANNOT ABSORB AGAIN.
Visual: When a spell is abosrbed, a flash of a purple spherical object (like a shield) will surround the Empath.
Example: Moon Queen fires a moon beam at Empath, Empath takes no damage, echo is replaced by lunar beam, Empath can fire it right back straight away.
The Boon of Life: The Empath uses an ancient magic and places a curse atop an enemy. The enemy is weakened terribly and any pain the Empath feels, a portion of it will travel to the cursed enemy. The Empath still takes all the damage dealt to her regardless of placing this spell on an enemy.. Should the Empath choose to place the magic on an ally, ALL OF THE PAIN the ally feels is transferred straight to the Empath. Cooldown: 16 seconds at all levels.
Skill type: Magic
Level 1: Cursed enemy attacks at only 60% of their attack speed and moves at only 63% of their movespeed. Target enemy will take 30% of damage dealt to Empath. Targeted ally, Empath goes into a channeling state, Ally takes no damage and Empath receives 115% of the damage.
Spell lasts 6 seconds. Mana:150 Casting range: 650
Level 2: Enemy attacks at 55% attk speed, moves at 58% of movespeed.
Enemy receives 35% of damage. When 'healing' ally, Empath receives 110% of damage.
Lasts: 7 seconds. Mana: 250 Casting range: 700
Level 3: Enemy attacks at 50% attk speed, moves at 53% of movespeed.
Enemy receives 40% of damage. When 'healing' ally, Empath receives 105% of damage.
Lasts :8 seconds. Mana: 300 Casting range: 800
Level 4: Enemy attacks at 45% attk speed, moves at 48% of movespeed.
Enemy receives 38% of damage. When 'healing' ally, Empath receives 100% of damage.
Lasts : 8 seconds. Mana: 350 Casting range: 950.
Balance: Now obviously this spell may seem rather op. However, i have made it so that the mana costs are ridiculously high. And a rather high cooldown.
Note: It should seem that when cast on an enemy, a symbol appears upon both the Empath and enemies head. When targeting an ally, the spell becomes a channeling one, if the ally exceds the range of channeling the spell stops. Her ulti makes this spell less effective when it's cast on an enemy. Thus i encourage using this on allies more often.
Visual: A symbol appears on both the heads. Healing an ally has the Empath staying still and a large green beam of blue/green light should be hitting the ally.
When channeling, the Empath has her arms locked together, with her staff pointing out towards the ally. As the ally moves, so will she (on the spot of course). Channeling stops if you are disrupted (stun, silence, sleep, or moved).
Spirit Away: The Empath sends forth a (controllable)portion of her soul which can traverse over any terrain. After an amount of time, the Empath teleports to where ever her soul was. The Empath is silenced for the entire duration as long as the soul is out. Any units the soul passes through gives the Empath armour and magic resistance once she teleports. The Soul is destroyable (with 50% of her current hp) and any damage dealt to it damages her and vice versa.
Skill Type: Magic
Level 1: The soul lasts for 4 seconds, anything the soul passes through gives Empath +0.5 armour and +0.5 magic resistance. The soul moves at +20% of her movespeed. The armour buff lasts for 7 seconds.
Mana: 130 Cd: 20
Level 2: The soul lasts for 5 seconds, anything the soul passes through gives Empath +1 armour and +1 magic resistance. The soul moves at +25% of her movespeed. Buff lasts for 11 seconds.
Mana: 160 Cd: 18
Level 3: The soul lasts for 6 seconds, anything the soul passes through gives Empath +1.5 armour and +1.5 magic resistance. The soul moves at +30% of her movespeed. Buff lasts for 16 seconds.
Mana: 190 Cd:16
Level 4: The soul lasts for 7 seconds, anything the soul passes through gives Empath +2 armour and +2 magic resistance. The soul moves at +35% of her movespeed. Buff lasts for 20 seconds.
Mana: 220 Cd: 14
Balance: It should be noted that there is going to be a maximum armour buff of +18 armour and +18 magic resistance. But i'd like your word for how much armour. Once again, large debate on the opness of this, but heroes with large ms and blink should be able to follow the spirit while allies chase HER. I'll let you decide on how fast the spirit should be though.
Visual: It should seem like a whisp of smoke comes out of her chest, as time passes by it starts to form her shape and eventually becomes her. At the same time, the Empath starts to slowly fade away, turning into merely a shape of her and then a whisp of smoke.
The May Queen: (Passive) (Ultimate) The Empath unleashes her full potential, becoming the beacon of life itself. Beings under her influence spawn strength and frailty in her friends and enemies respectively.
Level 1: All allies within a 650 radius will heal for +2.25% of their CURRENT health every second. All enemies will leak 1.75% of their MAXIMUM mana every second. ALL UNITS under the aura will attack 8% and move 5% faster.
Level 2: All allies within a 700 radius will heal for +2.90% of their CURRENT health every second. All enemies will leak 2.50% of their MAXIMUM mana every second. ALL units under the aura will attack 12% and move 9% faster.
Level 3: All allies within a 750 radius will heal for +3.55% of their CURRENT health every second. All enemies will leak -3.25% of their MAXIMUM mana every second. ALL units under the aura will attack 16% faster and move 12% faster.
Having Staff of the Master increases healing by an extra .5%
Balance: Now im not exactly sure of how fast healing for current hp is (im pretty god damn sure its alot slower than maximum, but seeing as how its simply hp regen), im sure you'll all forgive me. Whether you want to make the hp regen higher or not is completely up to you people. One thing i did with this ulti is that it makes Boon of Life less effective.
Visual: All units affected look as though their bodies are surrounded by many small (i really mean small)green orbs of energy (with tails) that moves around them very quickly. The Empath also glows now and wherever she goes, flowers will grow around her (and disappear very quickly, being invisible takes away this effect).
Note: OK, for all the people ou there confused about this Ulti, IT IS A PASSIVE AURA. Means its always on. All Allies and enemies will be affected by health regen and mana degen respectively.
Good Heroes to work with:
Practically any tank will greatly appreciate, Empath's Ulti, aswell the fact that she could take on ALOT of damage, she becomes the perfect sidekick for heroes like
Legionnaire: With his extremely high max hp, he'll be healing in seconds, forcing enemies to attack her, he in turn will be standing near her and thus it takes careful planning to take out a combo of these 2.
Predator: Her ulti basically makes his lifesteal all the more deadly, he becomes extremely hard to kill and as we all know, (while the Empath is being attacked) a Predator who nobody takes care of is probably the most dangerous thing.
Jeraziah: Not much to explain besides the fact that they can keep healing eachother, becoming a tough team to take down, the fact that he can slow enemies makes it all the more better.
Devourer: Im pretty sure any Devourer would greatly appreciate the extra regen, being able to rot constantly and the fact that using their ulti makes them incredibly vulnerable. She can slow targets making it easier for any Dev out there.
Accursed: Now he really is unkillable with the Empath around.
Pestilence: A tag team that im very sure would work extremely well.
Keeper of the Forest: These 2 should be invis and just hang around enemies until the enemies have absolutely no mana in which case THEN is the time to strike.
Rampage: Her ulti and his aura would make each other move at incredible speeds basically meaning that NO ENEMY can out run these 2 when working together.
Intelligence: Im pretty sure EVERY SINGLE int hero will love her ulti, shes a total support remember and makes good with any other support heroes. If you really think about it im sure she helps with practically every int hero except probably Vindicator.
Agility : Should they get lifesteal, her ulti will keep them alive for that much longer. If your an agi hero, expect for her to slow them for you as much as possible.
Heroes who you should avoid:
Scout: Why?, cos its scout thats why. However, he would actually be one of the easier enemies. Your aura should mess up his mana (therefore screwing his invis) around mid game, and Boon would actually help ALOT. More often than not, your probably gonna win this fight. Regardless, scout won't gank you alone.
Chronos: Hes prob gonna aim you in ganks, you'll be healing your teammate AND THEN FKEN BAM!!!, your getting stunned all the time and he'll backtrack your boon and its gonna be gg BECAUSE CHRONOS IS INVINSIBLE. Acutally, truth be told, if he uses his timewalk and he actually hits you, you do have a chance to absorb it, in which case you can get away. However, you should keep it incase, timewalk is a good spell and can save you from using Spirit.
Pestilence: For obvious reasons. However, you should be able to absorb his stun and for that fact, i've had a talk with my mates and his ulti should be one of the VERY FEW ultis to be absorbed.
Predator: Your true weakness You may be able to absorb his Venom Leap, in which case you could use it to get away and save yourself Spirit Away. Using boon is useless in his stoneform. You basically become a free fountain for pred and he'll be lifestealing so much he could just hit full hp then go off to kill your teammates (assuming that you are too hard to kill and he cbf). His ulti is in for consideration of absorbtion.
Rampage: Probably the biggest problem you will have is facing this bastard. Your ultimate spell is your ultimate undoing when fighting him you can't outrun him. Hopefully you've applied boon as he's charging you. He'll be doing relatively high damge to himself by then but i highly doubt you'll be able to escape him.
The constant stunning and what not, using Spirit Away MAY work but your up against Spirit Away working and 1) The high damage he does to you kills the soul or 2)just as your about to teleport to your soul's position, he ultis you and as you teleport, the game does a ridiculous glitch and he hits you AFTER you've teleported. Laugh at option 2 but i swear to god if Empath is put into the game, that glitch WILL HAPPEN i've seen crazy **** happen in both Hon and Dota already with Night Hound/riki being hit after they've blinked away, same with Magebane/Anti-mage.
Heroes you can snap (not necessarily easy snapping):
Any nukers will have a very hard time against Empath. Any agility heroes will have to think very carefully before engaging and any strength heroes better have a good way of catching Empath.
Witch Slayer: Most Witch Slayer's i know don't get mana regen items until midgame. In which case your ulti could piss him off EASY. Assuming that you absorb his stun and Miniaturize, you'll be fine. Badluck if you absorb mana drain though. If you are in danger of him using his ulti, put Boon on him (its got a long casting range so you'll be fine) and hopefully he'll end up killing himself with his own damage.
Blood Hunter: This guy is fken screwed fighting you, if you know he's around shove a boon on him as fast as possible. Should you absorb Craze for Blood on you, shove it right back on him and throw a spirit AT him and make it stop near (yet still relatively far) where your fighting is he can't ulti you cos he's silenced. He's going to throw Hemmorhage at you if the fight gets long. Don't fret, the spirit you threw earlier should've teleported you away from battle. If you didn't absorb craze for blood, just fight and stand still.
Devourer: Now, the idea that my hero could beat devourer created this massive, long and hilarious argument between my friends essentially splitting the group into 2 teams of pro-Empath and pro-devourer.
Devourer would naturally have his mana draining away very quickly, he'll probably ulti you and rot, your ulti should've healed a good number of the damage (remember the less hp you have the slower your healing).
If you were smart enough, you would've put boon of life on him before hand and LETTING HIM take you.
This would make his rot do an extra 40 damage to himself and his ulti damaging himslef massively aswell, leaving you to finish him off while the Boon of Life is still on him. Essentially, there is no way devourer can beat Empath in a 1v1. Basically all devourer can hope for is a good hook while the Empath is on low hp.
Succubus: Somewhat easier, very much the same as Devourer. Absorbing either sleep or lifesteal whilst your hit by her ulti, spamming either spell right on her, using spirit away and hopefully you had boon on her before hand. Not as easy as others though.
Andromeda: I highly doubt Andro can do much, absorbing the stun or not. It should be noted that Andro's Ulti is up for consideration of absorption.
List will be continued...
Pros with this hero: Super hard to kill, good get-away spell, fast ms, snaps Casters, extremely good support.
Weaknesses: All the major dps heroes who rely on having lifesteal, can pretty much heal themselves off of her. Predator especially.
Items: These are the must haves for Empath, frost wolf's skull being the absolute. If your going for the tank/healer side of Empath, get LOTS of hp regen. If your going the dps side, get lots of movespeed and dps.
How to play her:
Is relatively simple with this hero, she can handle almost all situations with ease.
Ganks: The Empath should actually be at the back of the fight letting your aura keep your teammates alive, using Boon of Life on allies who have hit at around 50%. There is no need to cast on enemies as long as they are focused on your teammates. Should the gank turn into a chase of either way, use your Spirit Away spell towards enemies and use your spirit to chase them (it is controllable remember) doing so gives enough time for Boon Of life to be reused once you've teleported (hopefully your spirit was right next to the enemy).
Chases: Her Boon of Life and Spirit Away go hand in hand as once one spell finishes, the other is ready by then. Spamming spirit away for chasing and Boon of Life for 1v1 situations. Spirit Away is extremely good for getting away as well. Send your spirit in one direction and run like hell to the other.
Early Game: She is very vulnerable up until she hits lvl 6 (kinda like riki). You should be lvling up Boon and Shield and leaving spirit til last. Shield is extremely important and you could get some pretty fun kills that way. Harass constantly and do w/e you can to lvl up as fast as possible.i would suggest taking Lumberer's Axe to taking out creeps faster.
Mid Game: This is where it gets fun. You could take out pretty much anyone who is at the same lvl as you. Casters should fear you, and will most likely run away. Tanks will be your true weakness, however, with your high ms, you should be able to drain away an average amount of their mana whilst kiting them (dont harass too much, make them stay within your aura) before they get to do anything. Dps heroes are practically screwed unless their smart enough to wait for boon to run out, in which case, you should Spirit away and take up as much armour and magic resistance as possible.
Late Game: I would assume you've gotten at least Frost Wolf's skull by now, in which case you should be able to snap any caster. Keep your allies close, together as a group, all team ganks and team fights become that much easier. You need to stick with your team, the major dps heroes will be somewhat reluctant to take you down and should they aim you, put Boon of Life on enemies more often and most of the time put it on the enemy with the highest hp of them all. Let your allies do the killing on the weaker enemies. After putting boon of life, Spirit Away from the fight (but not too far).

Added which heroes work well with her, and the items you MUST GET FOR THIS HERO.
Added heroes you can take down and heroes to avoid. Also toggled some of the spells a bit.
your ult is confusing on how it works, it it like tormented soul were it has no cooldown, or does it have a cooldown and a duration?
You first ability is great, it is similar to the ultimate of this hero suggest of mine:
I love the concept behind this hero and i love support heroes.
I'm gonna hold off voting for now to see what this hero developes into
[17:23] <@Warchamp7> You can't spell 'Sucker sucks' without "Sucker sucks"
it needs to be a yes or no poll. as in:
Do you think this hero should be incorporated into the game?
great hero but some abilities needs to get lowered
1st skill heals 150% of manacost ... you just blocked a spell ... and use it and get hp back ... a big nono
It's about time someones posted a GOOD idea for an int tank. Your one gets my vote especially for originality aswell as the fact that i feel extremely curios on how well this hero might turn out. Pretty good balance you've got with low damage and high healing though some spells do look slightly overpowered. You also get my vote for having an actually good looking POST unlike those other friggin word walls which makes your mind KA-plode. Gl and im voting for the best.
Very interesting hero, especially the first skill. I like the concept, although in my opinion the ultimate needs serious reworking. Giving all enemies 20% attack speed for minimal hp regen and minimal mana drain is not worth it at ALL.
Hmm, that provides lots more utility for it
On another note, I am curious as to how you would use the Spirit Away spell? when I read the initial description I was expecting a long duration for the spirit effect, and so I was surprised when i saw the only 6 second duration.
6 seconds is A REALLY REALLY long time. seriously.
Basically, Spirit Away spawns a soul right next to the Empath. The Soul is controllable so you move it to wherever you want it to go and after the timer goes off, Empath teleports to exactly where the soul was. That's how the spell works. A really good chasing spell and getaway.
Empath is silenced as long as the soul is out.

Oh, alright, that makes sense. I was thinking of the skill for other purposes, since to me it seems odd to escape by letting your hero stand silenced for six seconds Then again, she is fairly durable compared to some other int heroes so perhaps you are right. Pop second skill and then Spirit Away makes a good escape.
