    Illusions and their Characteristics

    Illusions and their Characteristics

    List of stuff that works and doesn't work

    Illusions

    • Illusion Rune - last 75 seconds, takes 300% damage and deal 35% damage.
    • Geometer's Bane - last 20 seconds, takes 350% damage and deal 33% damage.
    • Mirage - lasts 5/6/7 seconds, takes 200% damage, deals 40% damage and has a base movement speed of 400.
    • Burning Shadows - Special type of illusions; they gain +55 attackspeed & their attackspeed is based on the hero the illusion originates from. Each attack deals 70 Magic damage. The illusions last 8 seconds or until they used up all their attack charges
    • Mirage Strike - lasts 3 seconds, takes & receives 100% damage. It can only attack once before dying. After attacking, it will linger for 1 second before dying.


    Works

    • Mock of Brilliance - Works but multiple instances of Mock don't stack.
    • Nullfire Blade - Illusions get mana burn (1/3 of the original mana burn value).
    • Wingbow - Illusions get evasion.
    • Savage Mace - True Strike propagates to illusions.
    • Harkon's Blade - Works if Harkon's is activated when the illusions are created (does not stack). Drains illusions' mana pool normally per attack.
    • Critical strike - Works but with lower actual damage since the base damage is reduced for illusions.
    • Bashing - Works on Pestilence's Gore and Rampage's Horned Strike.
    • Deserted - Sand Wraith illusions receive Deserted.
    • Disarm - Scout's illusions can disarm an enemy preventing them from attacking.
    • Whirling Blade - Legionnaire's illusions have the full effects of Whirling Blade.
    • Passives - Almost all passives transfer to illusions (except Dissipate).
    • Invisibility - Illusions can become invisible.
    • Attack Modifier - Works on Booboo's Tangle Claw, Accursed's Sear, Slither's Toxicity, Magmus's Volcanic Touch, Magebane's Mana Combustion (1/3 of the original mana burn value)
    • Attack Skills - Works on Nighthound's Backstab, Predator's Carnivorous
    • Multi-Target Skills - Works on Runed Axe Cleave, Hammerstorm's Mighty Swing, Puppet Master's Whiplash, Maliken's Possession, Moon Queen's Multi Strike.
    • Auras - Illusions receive and also passively emit aura from hero skills.
    • Item Auras - Illusions receive and also passively emit aura from items.
    • Buffs - Receives all buffs except +armour.
    • Movement speed - Receives the same amount of movement speed as main hero.
    • Damage Block - The blocking effect of Iron Buckler, Iron Shield, Plated Greaves aura and Helm of the Black Legion transfer to illusions.



    Doesn't Work

    • Bound Eye - Illusions carrying Bound Eye won't grant any sort of reveal capabilities.
    • Shield Breaker - Armor debuff doesn't work.
    • Icebrand/Frostburn - Slow doesn't work.
    • Frostwolf Skull - Slow doesn't work.
    • Charged Hammer / Thunder Claw - Lightning does not work.
    • Brutalizer - Does not bash.
    • Savage Mace - The +100 physical damage proc does not work.
    • Lifesteal - Does not gain life via regular attacks.
    • Direct + Damage from items/skills - Does not transfer to illusions.
    • Direct + Attack Speed from items/skills - Does not work.
    • +Armour from items/spells - Does not work. +10 armour from Platemail or Galvanize will not bring over, only armour from agility.
    • + Stats from Insanitarius (on) - The +Strength and other active bonuses do not transfer to illusions.
    • Direct + Regeneration - Illusions do not gain additional direct + regeneration from items.
    • +Life from Ophelia Command Aura
      *****bug the main hero Ophelia receives the life bonus while the illusions are alive
    • Split Shot -Does not transfer to Forsaken Archer's illusions, toggled on or off.
    • Dissipate - Does not transfer to illusions.
    • Most States on the original unit right before creating the illusion(s)
    • Savage Mace - Mini-stun & damage don't work.

    Sure.. the orange text are most likely bug's the mod should take notice of them..
    especially the one where Ophelia gain's 300bonus hp herself when she uses Geometer's Bane

    You might want to mention that while illusions get the aura from soulreaper, they dont stack with eachother so youll be still maxed at 1%sec^-1

    Legos whirlwind strike works from rune illusions (well worked in 1.5 version when i had to pick such rune). Also seems to do full damage with that skill.

    Are you sure about Insanitarius? Illusions are supposed to gain the +25 strength when it's activated...

    For some reason, the active +Str won't transfer to illusions from Insanitarius. Split Shot also doesn't work on images.

    yes.. Insanitarius doesn't give any stats to illusions..
    at least Forsaken Illusions can have their 'own' 8 skeletons..

    edited and removed all -couriers / summons / gadgets related to illusion rune
    as of .59patch

    I've tested a few items with illusions (mock, savage mace, nullfire blade), and it appears that the bonus effects deal full damage. Which is odd, because I remember testing Chain Lightning and it only dealing 33% damage with Geometer's Bane illusions.

    I've always assumed that the effects deal full damage on illusions (works that way in DotA too for Radiance and Mana Burn, since Chain Lightning & the +100 damage proc from MKB doesn't transfer to illusions there)

    pretty sure everything does full damage..
    chain lightning no longers work with illusions

    on a side note, how much damage does mana burn from nullfire do?
    like magebane was 0.6 down from 0.8..
    so is nullfire 0.8? 0.6? per mp burnt

    0.8 damage per mana. Confirmed earlier today even (tooltip is indeed accurate).

    How about the damage block/deflection from Iron Buckler/Iron Shield/Helm of the Black Legion?

    I'm pretty sure it doesn't work on illusions, but would be nice if someone tested it

    It works. Creep hits illusion for 23 damage, blocks 20 damage, deals 3 * 3.5 (illusion multiplier), which is then reduced further by armor.
