This is my idea for a remake of Windrunner from DotA. Although she is only ranked 8th on the poll for most wanted ports to HoN, I think that a few changes might rekindle interest in my favourite hero. All these images are just placeholders for now, I will be finding much more appropriate ones in the coming days. This is my first hero suggestion, so while I appreciate feedback, please keep the flames on low! :D

Appearance: Playful, mischievous spirit in physical form. Long white hair, feminine attire decorated with wisps of mist and feathers. Sandals and circlet with wing adornments, one glove on her attack hand, with three darts between her fingers. The other hand holds a set of panpipes decorated with feathers hanging from them by a cord. Attack animation: Throwing Darts with a small wind spiral effect trailing off the flights.
Movement speed: 315
Attack speed: 1.8
Strength: 17 / 1.3
Agility: 17 / 1
Intelligence: 22 / 2.1
Voice Effects - Young, female, cheeky.

Similar to Power Shot, deals less damage the more targets are hit (Including trees) but it deals the same damage to all targets hit. Units are knocked back 80 units, and slowed by 80%, the slow rapidly decreases over the 1.5 second duration. The Wind Tunnel leaves a path for 3 seconds that allows the Wind Chaser and allies to move 20% faster while on the path. Upon leaving the path, allies will retain the movespeed buff for 1 second. The projectile speed would be lower than that of Power Shot, but it's slightly twisting nature gives it a larger hit box. Much more utility than Power Shot, converts this into a more tactical support ability than a straight nuke.First Skill: Wind Tunnel

Cooldown: 12 seconds at all ranks.
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120
Animation: Wind throws a dart that splits into several shards as it leaves her hand, the shards glowing and accelerating toward the target, gathering wind swirling around them forming into a visible beam of force.Second Skill: Gust
"With a note on her panpipes, the Windchaser calls forth a terrible gust of wind that pushes a targetted unit up to 600 units away forcefully backward, slamming it into any nearby object."
Impacts with either a tree or unit within 350 units in a cone behind the target, stunning both parties. If no unit is near to pin the target to, the target is pushed in that direction 350 units.
Duration: 1.4/2.1/2.8/3.5 second stun.
Cooldown: 14 seconds at all ranks.
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120.
This is Windrunner's old stun, again with a small change in that the first target hit with the stun is pushed against the second target and bound together for the duration of the stun. I don't think this added effect needs a downside for balance, as it pushes the target away from Wind Chaser, unless they are pinned, and as such is mostly only helpful if you have allies on the other side.
Edit: If there is no tree or unit on the other side, this skill simply pushes the target in that direction a small distance, essentially helping them escape in a chase. A situational skill that will take good timing and positioning to work well.
Wind's signature move, no reason to change it, it's identical to the old Windrunner, with a spiffy new animation. All physical attacks are evaded and a huge increase in movespeed for the duration.Third Skill: Slipstream
"Breathing a shrill note, the Wind Chaser calls on the air surrounding her to literally bend it into a solid force, and uses it to carry and protect her, and inhibit her enemies' movements."
Increases her movespeed by 50%, evades all physical attacks, and slows the movement speed of enemies within a 300 radius.
Duration: 2.75/3.5/4.25/5 seconds.
Cooldown: 65/50/35/20 seconds.
Mana Cost: 100 at all levels.
Slow Debuff: 8/16/24/30% slow.
Animation: Wind hovers slightly above the ground, running on semi-transparent white "wind" ripples, running up on a "wall" of air if she turns while this is active. Swirls of wind slightly distort the air around her, and any enemies caught in the slow have a small whirlwind animation around them for the duration of the snare. As the ability ends, she drops to the ground and continues running as normal.
Edit (26/11): Ult attacks now benefit from attack modifiers to maintain consistent DPS while moving, as opposed to simply chasing with normal attacks using her other skills to keep up.Ultimate: Cross-Fire Hurricane
"The Wind Chaser calls the wind to her aid once again, howling a chilling note on her panpipes, she unleashes a flurry of darts bourne on the air around her, driving dart after dart at her target with blinding speed."
Duration: 2/4/6 seconds.
Cooldown: 100/70/40 seconds.
Mana Cost: 180/250/320.
Damage: 80/90/100% of attack damage per hit.
Animation: Darts rise up and rotate around Wind, held by a tornado of force that surrounds her and fires off dart attacks every half second. The darts glow brightly as they are shot this way, fading the longer they are in the air after launch.
This ability is basically a debuff on the target that deals damage per half second equal to Wind Chaser's current attack damage (Including effects from any attack modifiers, eg. Lifesteal, Shieldbreaker, etc.) while the target is within 800 range (And in vision) for the duration. Wind Chaser is free to move and use abilites during this, as the darts are carried by wind, she cannot auto-attack or use items however. (That's right, no Assassin's Shroud!)
Rolling Stones references aside, While I thought the old ultimate was good, it really left her too static and vulnerable for her fragility and it didn't really fit her nimble nature and playstyle I think. With this and Wind Tunnel, I think she can play a unique role of an outrunner, outflanking and harrassing enemies. It makes her an epic chaser, as she can use her other 3 abilities to move at top speed and evade other enemies extremely well. Couple this with Shrunken Head before you activate and you can Slipstream through their entire team completely invulnerable while laying the beatdown on some unfortunate.
Yes, it is like a more scaling version of Corrupted Disciple's Ult, but she can't attack or use items during, and the duration is much shorter, making it good burst, but only with decent gear, so I think it's fair. Also, she needs constant sight on her target, so unlike Disciple's it wouldn't track Night Hound or Scout for example.
So there it is, my idea for a revamp and port of Windrunner. All mana costs and cooldowns, etc have been taken directly from Windrunner's original abilities, and with the changes will probably need tweaking, but that's what this is for. :P Please feel free to post any ideas/opinions!

- What movement bonus do you and allies get while on Wind Tunnel's path?
- How should darts look like? Half-transparent wind blades appearing in the air around you and flying to your target?
- How fast new darts appear - what's the time gap between dart number X and dart number X+1?
Interesting. The ulti reminds me of Bristleback's old Quill Spray. And interesting take on the Windrunner hero too. And kudos to anyone who makes wind-based hero... like me! :3
The darts are corporeal, I reckon several darts will rotate around her in a kind of whirlwind and each one will shoot off toward the target at the given 0.5 intervals.
The animation can be standard for each rank, a tornado around Wind that has darts within it, since the ability keeps the attack interval standard at all ranks, the speed which they fire will always be 0.5 seconds.

Loved Windrunner, I think this is a good port, the ultimate doesn't fit well imo, I think it should be replaces with a stronger ranged hero killerkind of ulti, this current ulti doesn't maximize her potential.
