After Nighthound Pounces sometimes he keeps attacking that target, sometimes he just sits there, waiting to fade. Is this a bug or just another one of those "mechanics" that some people say make the game take skill, but most people find simply annoying?
I think it should keep auto-attacking. Since it would interrupt your Pounce ability if you're already right clicking the enemy before you actually pounced. So the 'waiting to fade' is seemingly a bug.
Same thing happens with Predators leap. (Unless they fixed that?) Sometimes it's nice that you don't automatically start attacking the target you pounce... sometimes it's a pain.
well the same "bug" is on Rikimaru in dota, so i think it's on purpose
use animation cancelling until they fix it, they fixed Predator's leap.
its not exactly a big deal when you should be animation cancelling in the first place.
aswell as Nighthound being a rather useless hero.
The keyword in the OP's post is "sometimes". He states that what NH does after a leap is unpredictable sometimes continuing attacking and sometimes just getting stuck.
use the skill on the unit then press shift and right click the same unit.
Exactly I cant figure out what determines whether or not NH will continue to attack a pounced target. At first I thought he might aquire other enemy heroes or creeps with low hps as "auto attack targets" after a Pounce, but theres no rhyme or reason to it that I can see. THe only solution is to simply spam click the hero, which can get messy in huge team fights + creeps + everyone is moving...
-Animation canceling the pounce? It has a cast time of .3 secs, much faster than the latency of your game will allow.
